Yes, Mookie Betts Actually Flew Chris Archer To All-Star Game On Private Jet

Share this: We all knew Mookie Betts can fly. But it turns out he can, you know, actually fly. The Boston Red Sox outfielder began Sunday by blasting a lead-off home run off Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Chris Archer in the final game before Major League Baseball’s All-Star break. Betts and Archer, both 2017 All-Star selections, had to get from Tampa to Miami on Sunday for the All-Star festivities, and Archer posted a photo on social media that night suggesting the two were “plane-pooling,” if you will. Wait, is that Mookie in the cockpit chair? It sure is. Both Betts and Archer, who share the same agent, shared Instagram posts of them in a private Cirrus VisionJet preparing for liftoff to Miami. We probably should tell you

Joel Embiid Catches* Home Run Derby Ball, Makes It Look Impossibly Tiny

Share this: Aaron Judge stole the show at Monday night’s Home Run Derby. But Joel Embiid also drew plenty of attention to himself — which isn’t that hard for a 7-foot, 23-year-old to do at a baseball stadium. The Philadelphia 76ers big man rolled into Marlins Park with rapper Meek Mill and posted up in the outfield bleachers to try to snag some home run balls. And it wasn’t long before a ball came sailing his way. First, we feel bad for whoever got the seat right behind Embiid. Second, it looks like he clearly didn’t catch this ball. But if you trust “The Process,” Embiid got redemption shortly after, as he posted a photo on Twitter of himself holding an official baseball. We

Did Khloe Kardashian, Cavs’ Tristan Thompson Recently Get Engaged?

Share this: Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have been dating for quite some time now, and it appears they might have taken the next step. Kardashian has been open about her desire for the Cleveland Cavaliers center to pop the question, and based on a photo posted on Instagram by BallerAlert, and spotted by BET, he might have done just that. Kardashian was spotted sporting a large diamond band on her left ring finger that certainly could signal the two have some news they have yet to share. 👀 A post shared by Baller Alert (@balleralert) on Jun 25, 2017 at 11:19pm PDT Of course, there’s always the chance this is just one of the many fancy rings Kardashian owns. If Thompson did indeed get down

Indy 500 Is Challenging, Historic Race That’s Definitely Worth Watching

Share this: IndyCar doesn’t have as large of a following as NASCAR, but the open wheel series has one race every year that any sports fan should watch: the Indianapolis 500. With Formula One driver Fernando Alonso competing in this year’s running, the 2017 Indy 500 has gained more attention than usual. But even if you don’t care about Alonso making his oval debut, or McLaren returning to an event it last won in 1976, there are still plenty of reasons to watch the 500-mile race. We made a list of the top-five reasons why even people who rarely, if ever, watch racing should tune in to this year’s Indy 500 on May 28: One of the biggest live sporting events in the world Photo via Brian Spurlock/USA

Are Cavs Mocking Celtics On Twitter Morning After Game 2 Blowout Win?

Share this: Are the Boston Celtics’ struggles in the Eastern Conference finals now a laughing matter? That seems to be the case Saturday after the Cleveland Cavaliers posted a provocative message on Twitter, the morning after their blowout win over the Celtics in Game 2. The photo features forward J.R. Smith and center Tristan Thompson appear laughing at the caption. Cleveland raced to a 2-0 series lead with the 130-86 rout. The loss was the Celtics’ worst postseason setback in 22 years and second-heaviest of all time. Most already are counting Boston out of NBA Finals contention, but it’s probably too soon for Cleveland to start laughing about it. The teams will meet at 8:30 p.m. ET on Sunday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Game

Watch Red Sox’s Mitch Moreland Crush 416-Foot Home Run Vs. Athletics

Share this: Mitch Moreland is starting to heat up. The Boston Red Sox first baseman went yard Thursday night against the Oakland Athletics, and he one-upped himself Friday night. The Red Sox were locked in a scoreless tie with the A’s during the fourth inning when Moreland came to the plate with a runner on second and one out. Moreland got a cutter from A’s starter Kendall Graveman and he cranked it over the right-field fence for a two-run home run. The home run was Moreland’s fourth of the year and went a long way. The Red Sox certainly hope Moreland stays hot. Thumbnail photo via Stan Szeto/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link

Photo Of LeBron James, Isaiah Thomas Perfectly Describes Cavs-Celtics Game 1

Photo Of LeBron James, Isaiah Thomas Perfectly Describes Cavs-Celtics Game 1

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals wasn’t pretty for the Boston Celtics. The Celtics entered the game riding high after advancing past the Washington Wizards and earning the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, but that enthusiasm did little to stop the Cavaliers in Cleveland’s 117-104 win at TD Garden. There were plenty of examples of the Cavs overpowering the Celtics throughout the game, but none can top what LeBron James did to Isaiah Thomas on this play. Ouch. Maybe Thomas and the C’s will have more luck Friday night in Game 2. Thumbnail photo via Bob DeChiara/USA TODAY Sports Images
