Will Josh Jackson’s Apparent Shot At Markelle Fultz Start New NBA Rivalry?

Share this: Is Josh Jackson throwing some serious shade at Markelle Fultz? Kansas University forward Jackson apparently used Twitter on Saturday to question the talent level of Washington University’s Fultz. Jackson’s barb came just days before the 2017 NBA Draft, in which most expect the Philadelphia 76ers to select Fultz with the No. 1 overall pick (once they acquire it from the Boston Celtics). Jackson has since deleted the Tweet, but USA TODAY’s Andrew Joseph captured it in a screenshot. Fultz shined for the Huskies last season, but they only won nine games and lost 22. Kansas went 31-5 and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. That’s probably what Jackson had in mind when he took aim at Fultz. Jackson has been

NBA Rumors: Celtics Were Concerned Markelle Fultz Wasn’t A Winner

Share this: Markelle Fultz is a remarkable talent on the basketball court, but is the likely No. 1 overall selection in the 2017 NBA Draft a winner? The Washington guard led his team to a 9-22 record in his only season in Seattle, and apparently, that’s one of the reasons the Boston Celtics opted to pass on the multi-faceted Fultz when they reportedly agreed to trade the top selection in Thursday’s draft to the Philadelphia 76ers. I'm told in addition to this, Boston "had serious concerns about Fultz being a winner. Too many red flags there to pick him at #1." https://t.co/JqKes2BIAZ — Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) June 18, 2017 The C’s reportedly will receive the No. 3 overall pick in the 2017 draft, as well

Red Sox Draft Tracker: Who Did Boston Pick In 2017 MLB Draft?

The Boston Red Sox have seen their early-round draft selections make an impact at the major league level much sooner than anticipated. Andrew Benintendi, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2015 MLB draft, already has become a staple in the Red Sox’s lineup and is poised to be a part of a dynamic outfield with fellow Boston draft picks Mookie Betts and Jackie Bradley Jr. for quite some time. Starting Monday, the Red Sox will add a new group of prospects in the 2017 MLB draft. It could be some time before you see these players in action at Fenway Park, but they certainly will be names to keep an eye on

Should Boston Celtics Draft Markelle Fultz Or Trade No. 1 Draft Pick?

Danny Ainge Lauds Isaiah Thomas, Thanks Celtics Guard For ‘Legendary’ Season

Share this: Isaiah Thomas’ season officially is over, and the Boston Celtics’ campaign isn’t far behind. But what a season it was for the diminutive point guard. Thomas was ruled out for the remainder of the NBA postseason Saturday with a significant right hip injury that he re-aggravated in Game 2 of Boston’s Eastern Conference finals matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Shortly after the team made the announcement, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge thanked Thomas on Twitter for what he described as a “legendary” season. There are plenty of facts to back up Ainge’s statement. Thomas led the Eastern Conference in scoring during the regular season with 28.9 points per game, and his 2,199 points were the fifth-most ever by a Celtics

Al Horford’s Sister Bemoans Fact LeBron James Hand-Picked Teammates, As Cavs Rip…

Share this: Anna Horford is hating the player instead of the game. The sister of Boston Celtics center Al Horford aired one of her grievances with LeBron James on Friday during the Cleveland Cavaliers’ blowout win over the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals. Anna Horford claims James’ influence over the Cavs’ organization has artificially tilted the scales in Cleveland’s favor and Boston’s detriment. Lebron got to literally hand pick his team… this is the result. — Anna Horford (@AnnaHorford) May 20, 2017 While there’s no way to prove how correct she is, let’s consider the timing: Boston was down by 14 points after the first quarter, around the time Horford made this comment. It appears to a be an example of

NBA Rumors: Celtics Unlikely To Trade For Paul George Or Jimmy Butler In Offseas…

Share this: Both Paul George and Jimmy Butler have been tied to trade rumors with the Boston Celtics for quite some time, but don’t expect those rumors to come to fruition this summer. According to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics’ ownership of the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft would make a trade for either superstar unlikely. “I think with Boston and Los Angeles getting No. 1 and No. 2, I think it makes it highly unlikely that Butler and George are involved in trades with those two teams,” Wojnarowski said, as transcribed by WEEI. “Danny Ainge at No. 1 now, with Jimmy Butler, they dealt with this at the trade deadline last spring.” Wojnarowski also noted that the Celtics reportedly are
