David Harris’ Time With Patriots Has Been ‘Amazing’ Despite Reduced Role
FOXBORO, Mass. — Former New York Jets linebacker David Harris has played just seven defensive snaps with the New England Patriots this season, leading many to understandably wonder why he’s still on the team. Harris doesn’t have a role on special teams and has been a healthy scratch once and didn’t find his way onto the field in another game despite being active. Everyone within the Patriots has high praise for Harris, however, and that starts with head coach Bill Belichick. “David’s done everything we’ve asked him to do, works hard, smart player, great kid,” Belichick said on a conference call with the New York media Wednesday. Michigan Band Plays ‘Jurrasic Park’ Theme Song With T-Rex Backup Dancers
Things got a little prehistoric at Michigan Stadium on Saturday. During Michigan’s game against Cincinnati on Saturday, the Wolverine marching band played a rendition of one of the greatest pieces of music ever composed. We’re talking, of course, about the “Jurassic Park” theme song. And, to top it all off, the performance included a slew of back up dancers wearing T-Rex costumes, because of course. These things were great, but where was the love for the Velociraptor? It was a pretty good day for Michigan fans at the Big House, as the Wolverines dino-stomped the Bearcats by a score of 36-14. The school’s marching band wi... NESN.com
Lakers Draft Pick Lonzo Ball Named 2017 NBA Summer League MVP
Share this: Lonzo Ball hasn’t yet played a regular-season game for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he’s already got a new addition for his trophy case. Ball was named NBA Summer League MVP on Monday, and also was named to the first team All-Summer League. Ball averaged 16.3 points, 9.7 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game, including four games with 10-plus assists. He certainly performed at a high level, but he didn’t play against De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings or in Monday night’s championship game. The former UCLA star was the Lakers’ first-round pick (No. 2 overall) in the 2017 draft. He’s the first Lakers player ever to win a Summer League MVP award, and he’s likely to start at point guard when
Rafael Devers Shines During Impressive Four-Hit Debut For Triple-A Pawtucket
Share this: As far as debuts go, Rafael Devers couldn’t have done much better than his first outing in a Triple-A Pawtucket uniform. The star Boston Red Sox prospect played in his first game for the PawSox on Friday night in Syracuse after being promoted the day before, and he didn’t disappoint in Pawtucket’s 7-4 win. The third baseman went 4 for 4 with two singles, a double and two-run home run out of the No. 6 spot for his new team. Devers finished the night with two RBIs and two runs scored. Enjoy the highlights, Red Sox fans. And he had a strong night in the field, too. Yup. The hype is real. Thumbnail photo via Jonathan Dyer/USA TODAY SportsImages Related NESN.com Stories Source link
