Tom Brady Has No Issue With Contact Sports, Or If His Kids Play Them
Share this: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has done a remarkable job handling contact throughout his career. And despite the inherent risk that he’s mostly eluded, Brady supports contact sports, even if his kids choose to play them. While speaking Monday morning on WEEI’s “Kirk & Callahan,” Brady said he’d allow his oldest son, Jack, to play contact sports, if he asks to. “I won’t tell him that he can’t, I’ll tell you that,” Brady said, via WEEI.com. “I had a lot of people tell me that I can’t. I won’t tell my kids they can’t do anything that they want to do. Whatever they choose to do I will fully support. If it is playing contact sports, I think contact sports

by Zack Cox on Mon, Jul 11, 2016 at 11:18AM 2,827 As a player who spent seven seasons in the NHL’s Western Conference, Boston Bruins winger Matt Beleskey is very familiar with his team’s biggest offseason acquisition: former St. Louis Blues center David Backes. Like Beleskey, Backes, who signed a five-year, $ 30 million contract with Boston on the first day of NHL free agency, is known for playing a heavy, physical game. And while guys like that aren’t particularly fun to line up against, th...
Danny Amendola Loved Playing With Steven Jackson: He’s ‘A Good Teammate’
FOXBORO, Mass. — News of Steven Jackson’s reported meeting with the Patriots on Wednesday was circling all throughout New England, and the team’s locker room was no exception. “I don’t know that we signed him,” Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola said. “I don’t know what the deal is. Apparently he’s still on the streets.” Well, wherever he is, apparently he is one step closer to providing the Patriots with some much needed depth at running back. And if his meeting leads to an eventual contract with New England, he has a familiar face in Amendola to rely on. Amendola and Jackson played together for four years with the...
Youngsters Live Out Dreams Of Playing In Boston In Futures At Fenway (Video)
Win or lose almost didn’t matter for many of the players on the Lowell Spinners during the Futures at Fenway game Sunday. Playing in Fenway Park was a dream of many of the players on the Boston Red Sox’s Single-A affiliate, so just sitting in the dugout was good enough for some. “It’s unreal,” Spinners center fielder Danny Mars said. “Words can’t even describe it. This place — it’s history, it’s baseball. This park’s one of a kind.” The Spinners were winning until the ninth inning when they unraveled and ended up losing 6-1. However, some might be lucky enough to enjoy a victory at Fenway Park later in their careers. Next Article >> Peter Chiarelli Open To David...
