Share this: The glass is there for a reason, buddy. Yes, it is meant to protect fans from flying pucks, but one would hope it also would deter fans who’ve had a few too many to wander onto the ice during a game. Well, that wasn’t the case Wednesday night in an Ontario Hockey League game between the Mississauga Steelheads and Guelph Storm, as one man managed to climb over the glass and fall onto the ice, where he stumbled around for a while. As you can imagine, it was pretty entertaining to watch, and you can catch a glimpse of his on-ice adventure in the video below. Thumbnail screen shot via Twitter/@mkmolnar More Stories Source link

Mookie Betts Explains What Happened On Wild Catch-Turned-Double Play
Share this: Mookie Betts made one of the weirder plays of the season Tuesday night in the Bronx. It was also one of the most impressive. The Boston Red Sox’s right fielder lost a liner off the bat of Chase Headley in the Yankee Stadium lights and went into his slide a bit prematurely. He somehow managed to reach across and over his body and make the catch anyway before jumping up and quickly doubling off Starlin Castro at first base. It wasn’t enough to win the game, though, as the Red Sox had their 11-game winning streak snapped in a 6-4 loss to the New York Yankees. Still, it was pretty impressive nonetheless. Check out Betts’ explanation for the play in the video
Hey David Ortiz, How Important Was That Red Sox Win? ‘It’s Pretty Big’
The Boston Red Sox overcame a three-run ninth-inning deficit to win one of the more exciting games of the season, 7-5, over the AL East rival New York Yankees. Hanley Ramirez finished the rally with a monstrous, three-run homer to send the Red Sox home with the walk-off win that might just be the September spark Boston needed. Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz was asked about the importance of the win after the game, as seen on NESN’s “Red Sox Final.” Check out what he had to say about it in the video above. NFL Team Officials Liken Colin Kaepernick To Traitor: ‘F–k That Guy’
Share this: Remember Ray Rice, Michael Vick, Aaron Hernandez, Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy and the countless other NFL players linked to heinous crimes? Well, apparently Colin Kaepernick is worse than all of them, if you ask some NFL front office executives. The Internet takes on Kaepernick not standing for the national anthem are hotter than Phoenix in July, and apparently a few executives have pretty similar feelings of outrage toward the San Francisco 49ers quarterback. Bleacher Report NFL writer Mike Freeman asked numerous executives about their thoughts on Kaepernick’s decision not to stand during the anthem as a form of protest against the recent killings of African Americans by police, and their distaste for Kaepernick was pretty glaring. “I don’t want him anywhere near my team,” an executive
Jordan Spieth Gets Schooled By Spelling Bee Co-Winner Jairam Hathwar
Share this: Jordan Spieth is pretty good at golf, to say the least, but he might want to leave the spelling to the professionals. Spieth recently met up with Scripps National Spelling Bee co-champion Jairam Hathwar, who is a big fan of the former No. 1 golfer in the world, at Bethpage State Park before The Barclays. The two blended both of their specialties into a golf/spelling game, which Hathwar dominated. But you have to give Spieth an “A” for effort on some of his spelling attempts in the video below. David Ortiz’s Extra Hustle Helps Him Tie Hank Aaron’s Doubles Record
Share this: David Ortiz isn’t exactly Usain Bolt, but the big fella can move when he puts his mind to it. Such was the case in the Ortiz’s first at-bat Monday night against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field, when the Boston Red Sox slugger laced a hard line drive to dead center field off Rays starter Blake Snell. Kevin Kiermaier got the ball in quickly from center, meaning Ortiz had to hustle to get to second base — and he did just that. (Click the photo below to watch the video.) Big Papi’s slide certainly wasn’t pretty — and likely something Red Sox fans don’t want to see too much of — but it was effective nonetheless. That extra hustle also put him in
Bill Belichick: Patriots’ Tablet Malfunctions ‘A Pretty Common Problem’
FOXBORO, Mass. — Bill Belichick isn’t about to be a spokesman for the Microsoft Surface anytime soon. NFL teams use the Surface during games to review film and make adjustments, but the tablet garnered some unwanted attention Sunday when the New England Patriots’ devices reportedly malfunctioned in the first half of the team’s AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The issue was quickly resolved, according to CBS sideline reporter Evan Washburn. But Belichick says it’s not the first time he’s had trouble with the tablets, which the NFL first starting using in 2013. “It is what i...
