David Price had a strong outing Friday night at Comerica Park. The Red Sox starting pitcher tossed 6 1/3 innings of scoreless ball, giving up four hits and striking out five in Boston’s 1-0 win over the Detroit Tigers on Friday night. The southpaw got himself into quite the conundrum in the fourth, after retiring the first nine batters he faced, when he loaded the bases with nobody out. Thankfully, Price made it out of the inning unscathed. “I was definitely happy,” Price said of getting out of the inning, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “It was a little bit kind of self-induced, so I wasn’t too happy about that. But that was... NESN.com

David Price Looking To Bounce Back In Series Opener Vs. Blue Jays
David Price ended June scorching hot, but the month of July hasn’t been as kind to the Boston Red Sox left-hander. In two July starts, Price has given up 12 earned runs in eight innings. He took the loss in an 11-1 thumping at the hands of the New York Yankees to open the month. The Red Sox’s bats got him off the hook in his last outing against the Kansas City Royals, a game in which Price gave up four runs in 4 2/3 innings and hit three consecutive batters. The lefty will look to bounce back Thursday night when the Red Sox
Red Sox Starter David Price Felt Good In Saturday’s Outing Vs. Blue Jays
David Price looked sharp in his return to the mound. After getting scratched from his start Wednesday to undergo testing on his hand (which revealed a mild case of carpal tunnel), Price returned to pitch Saturday in the Boston Red Sox’s 5-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. In the start, the lefty struck out six while allowing two runs on five hits with three walks over 5 1/3 innings. After the game, Price indicated that he felt good and kept getting better as he continued throwing. Red Sox Wrap: David Price Allows Seven Earned Runs In 11-5 Loss To Rangers
The Boston Red Sox’s 10-game road trip didn’t get off to the greatest start. Boston dropped an ugly 11-5 decision to the Texas Rangers on Thursday night at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Sox starter David Price lasted just 3 2/3 innings, allowing nine runs (seven earned) with the Rangers smacking a total of 11 hits off Boston pitchers. With the loss, the Red Sox fall to 22-9, while the Rangers climbed to 13-20. Here’s how it all went down: GAME IN A WORDUgly. The Red Sox’s pitching left plenty to be desired, and from the fourth inning on the result hardly was in doubt. ON THE BU... NESN.com
NBA Rumors: Kings Could Pay Big Price To Move Up To Draft De’Aaron Fox
The Sacramento Kings have their eye on a certain NBA draft prospect, but they might have to move up in order to secure him. The Kings own the No. 5 and No. 10 overall picks in the 2017 NBA Draft and reportedly could be interested in packaging those two picks together to move up and take De’Aaron Fox. ESPN’s Chad Ford reported in his latest mock draft the Kings are enamored with the Kentucky point guard and might pay a steep price to ensure he comes to Sacramento. “There’s talk inside the organization about combining picks Nos. 5 and 10 to move up in the draft to secure Fox,” Ford wrote. “If they found
David Price Pitched Like An Ace, But Red Sox Still Lose To Angels
Share this: Sometimes baseball, like life, isn’t fair. That was the case for David Price on Thursday night. The Boston Red Sox ace needed an ace-like performance after back-to-back rocky outings after the All-Star break, and that’s exactly what he got. Price faced the minimum batters through three innings thanks to a pair of double plays. He ran into a little bit of trouble in the fifth inning when the Angels loaded the bases, but Jefry Marte’s puzzling attempt to steal third base — which failed — was a big break for Price, who exited the inning unscathed. He then finished his outing just about as dominant as he started, allowing only one hit over the final three frames before being lifted for Brad Ziegler
David Price Not Satisfied With Results This Season, But Confidence Remains
Share this: David Price has yet to live up to expectations, and no one knows this more than the Boston Red Sox left-hander himself. Price had another subpar outing Saturday, allowing five runs on 11 hits in Boston’s eventual 11-9 loss to the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park. The 30-year-old ace is taking full responsibility for what has been a mostly underwhelming 2016 campaign, but he’s still confident he can turn things around down the stretch.
