Ryan Lavarnway made his first start behind the plate on Tuesday night in Baltimore. Yet he treated the big game as if he was a seasoned veteran. Lavarnway blasted two home runs to help lead the Sox to an 8-7 victory and keep them deadlocked atop the AL wild-card race with the Tampa Bay Rays. The two bombs were the first of his career, and he drove in four RBIs in total.
