Important Questions Remain For Bruins With New Season About To Begin

In less than a week, the puck will drop on the Boston Bruins’ 2018-19 campaign. And like the other 30 teams in the NHL, plenty of questions remain for the B’s heading into the regular season. On top of the Bruins having some compelling roster battles ongoing in their forward group, there’s also some intrigue surrounding the readiness of defensemen Torey Krug and Brandon Carlo, both of whom had last season cut short due to injuries. After the B’s 3-2 overtime loss in their preseason contest against the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday, NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley tried tackling some of the questions surrounding the Black an... Red Sox Remain Locked In At Plate During Saturday’s 10-Inning Victory

Xander Bogaerts got it done for Boston in a big way Saturday afternoon. The Red Sox beat the Toronto Blue Jays in thrilling fashion when Bogaerts hit a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning to seal the 6-2 win at Fenway Park. The grand slam marked the third of the campaign for the shortstop, and the team’s ninth, just two shy from the team record that was set in 2005. So what has the Sox so locked in? by Zack Cox on Tue, Jun 21, 2016 at 11:00PM 1,885 BOSTON — No Red Sox pitcher exhibits more Jekyll-and-Hyde tendencies than Clay Buchholz, and both sides of the right-hander were on display Tuesday as he returned to the rotation after a month-long foray into relief. The good: Buchholz retired 14 of the 19 Chicago White Sox batters he faced during his five innings of work. The not-so-good: Two of the four hits he surrendered were home runs, including one that came on his very first pi...

Even though Eriksson has played well in the limited time he’s skated alongside Krejci and Milan Lucic since joining the Bruins before the 2013-14 campaign, the best place for him is with Carl Soderberg and Chris Kelly on the third line. Soderberg and Kelly have been Eriksson’s linemates for most of the season, and it’s obvious that they have developed impressive chemistry, specifically Soderberg and Eriksson. As
