What Reported Brandin Cooks Trade Means For Patriots, Malcolm Butler

Share this: The New England Patriots’ highly active offseason continued Friday, as the team reportedly acquired wideout Brandin Cooks in a deal with the New Orleans Saints. Cooks joins an already loaded Patriots receiving corps, adding to New England’s embarrassment of riches on offense. The Patriots reportedly executed the trade without having to deal cornerback Malcolm Butler, whose future in New England is uncertain. However, reports indicate that the Patriots and Saints could revisit a deal involving Butler at a later date. Mike Krzyzewski Reportedly Bans Players From Locker Room, Wearing Duke Apparel

The 2016-17 Duke Blue Devils just can’t stop tripping over themselves. The Blue Devils already have four conference losses, their latest of which came at home Monday against North Carolina State. No. 17 Duke (15-5) suddenly is in danger of falling out of the rankings due to their sudden dip, and head coach Mike Krzyzewski apparently has seen enough. Brandon Marshall Reportedly Ticked Off Jets Teammates With Halftime Rant

The New York Jets weren’t really in the holiday spirit Saturday. Not only did the team get blown out by the New England Patriots 41-3 on Christmas Eve at Gillette Stadium. But some Jets players were irked by a fiery speech given by wide receiver Brandon Marshall at halftime with New York trailing 27-0, team sources told ESPN.com’s Rich Cimini. Marshall told ESPN.com on Wednesday that his objective was to fire up his Jets teammates. The outburst seemingly had the opposite effect, though, as the speech reportedly might have raised tensions in the Jets’ locker room. “We were getting our butts kicked, and I was trying to get guys to respond, ... Joe McKnight’s Alleged Killer, Ronald Gasser, Arrested On Manslaughter Charge

Share this: It took nearly a week, but it appears justice is being served in the death of Joe McKnight. Ronald Gasser, the man accused of shooting and killing the former NFL running back at an intersection in broad daylight, was arrested Monday on one count of manslaughter, according to Jefferson Parish (La.) Correctional Center records. Gasser allegedly killed McKnight last Thursday in a road rage incident Terrytown, La., reportedly shooting him three times and at one point telling the 28-year-old, “I told you, don’t you f— with me,” according to an eyewitness. Yet Gasser initially wasn’t even charged in the incident despite turning himself over to police and was released later that night after briefly being taken into custody. In another strange twist, Gasser also was
