Quentin Groves, Former NFL Player And Auburn Star, Dies At 32

Share this: Seven-year NFL veteran and former Auburn star Quentin Groves died in his sleep early Saturday morning after reportedly suffering a heart attack. He was 32. Groves and his wife, Teska Baptiste, were in Trinidad for the weekend to visit Baptiste’s homeland. The two met while at Auburn, where Baptiste ran track. During his NFL career, Groves amassed 9.5 sacks and 175 tackles while playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns and the Tennessee Titans. However, Groves made his mark during his career at Auburn, where his 26 sacks are tied for the school record. Groves was named first-team All-SEC in 2006.
