Rob Gronkowski Celebrates Birthday, Mother’s Day In One Great Instagram Post

Share this: Sunday was a special day for New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. It was his 28th birthday, as well as Mother’s Day. How Will Dwayne Allen Fit In With Patriots’ Numerous Offensive Weapons?

Share this: Dwayne Allen didn’t exactly get his day in the sun after being traded to the New England Patriots. And that’s not a commentary on the dreary weather in New England so far this spring, though it would be cool if temperatures would climb above 50 at some point. Thus concludes the small talk portion of this column. Allen was traded from the Indianapolis Colts on the afternoon before the start of the new NFL league year. It was the transaction that sparked countless others, officially setting off the Patriots’ offseason, and it kind of got buried. It was apparent at the time the Patriots would not be bringing back Martellus Bennett, so finding a tight end to complement and back up their injury-prone starter Rob Gronkowski was paramount.

But fans begged him to, so… “The fans were asking for it, and I’m giving the fans what they wanted to get.” Indeed he was. Here’s a shot of Gronkowski snaring a beer out of midair with one hand, taking a long swig and spiking it on the groud from atop his duckboat: Gronkowski later took the mic at the team’s

Josh McDaniels Applauds Patriots’ ‘Unique’ Unselfishness Ahead Of Super Bowl LI

And, one can argue, perhaps the deepest the franchise has had under head coach Bill Belichick. That means some players who might be the top dogs elsewhere are the third, fourth or fifth option in New England, which easily could lead to griping about playing time, touches and the like. It’s certainly resulted in... NESN.com
