Celtics Roster Reset: Projected Starting Five, Rotation Amid Busy Offseason
Share this: These aren’t your grandfather’s Boston Celtics. Scratch that — as far as familiar lineups go, these aren’t anyone’s Celtics. Boston entered the summer with the potential for a roster overhaul, and that’s exactly what we’ve gotten: Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynyk and other ancillary pieces from the Celtics’ 2016-17 club are out the door, making room for Gordon Hayward, Marcus Morris, Aron Baynes and four draft picks, highlighted by No. 3 overall selection Jayson Tatum. We still don’t know if president of basketball operations Danny Ainge has more roster moves in store. For the most part, though, the major work is done. That begs the question: What will this team look like in the 2017-18 season? It’s a simple question with a very
NBA Rumors: Chris Paul Lost Interest In Spurs For Two Specific Reasons
Chris Paul was going to be a highly sought after player in free agency this summer, but the Houston Rockets made sure the point guard wouldn’t hit the open market. The Rockets agreed to trade for Paul in a blockbuster deal with the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, pairing CP3 with James Harden in what should be a lethal backcourt. Paul reportedly had his eyes set on Houston for quite some time, but it allegedly wasn’t the only team he had interest in. The nine-time All-Star reportedly considered the San Antonio Spurs, but his desire to head to The Lone Star State dwindled due to the Spurs’ current roster. According to Marc Spears

Costly Mistakes From Veterans Plague Bruins In OT Loss To Senators
Share this: The Boston Bruins squandered a golden opportunity Saturday afternoon at the Canadian Tire Centre. The Bruins held a two-goal third-period lead over the Ottawa Senators in Game 2 of their first-round Stanley Cup playoff series, but the Senators mounted a furious comeback en route to an overtime victory. Despite having a roster that features several young players, it was actually a few of the veterans who committed costly mistakes in Saturday’s loss. Most notably, Zdeno Chara’s delay-of-game penalty in the waning moments of the final frame. To hear Dale Arnold, Andy Brickley and Billy Jaffe break down Boston’s gaffes, check out the video above from “NESN Sports Today,” presented by People’s United Bank. More Stories Source link
Here’s Who’s On Team Israel, Which Shocked Korea In World Baseball Classic
Share this: March Madness has arrived early — albeit on a different playing field. The 2017 World Baseball Classic kicked off Monday morning with a stunning upset: Israel, making its first-ever appearance in the WBC, shocked two-time tournament medalist Korea with a 2-1 win in extra innings. Israel shortstop Scott Burcham played the role of hero, driving in the game-winning run in the top of the 10th inning on an infield single. Israel scored its only other run on Tyler Krieger’s bases-loaded walk in the second inning, notching its first-ever win in the international tournament despite tallying just two extra-base hits. The Israelis had to overcome gigantic odds just to reach the WBC, defeating Brazil, Great Britain and Pakistan in qualifying play to earn the tournament’s
