Share this: It’s been quite the year for Ryan Lochte. The U.S. Olympic swimmer has won gold medals, lied about being robbed at gunpoint, gotten engaged and been attacked by hecklers on “Dancing With the Stars” — to name a few things. But the latest news is good news for Lochte, as the 32-year-old revealed Wednesday he and his fiancée, Kayla Rae Reid, are expecting a child. The couple got creative with the announcement, too. Speedo says that while it had “a winning relationship with Ryan for over a decade and he has been an important member of the Speedo team,” it could not condone his behavior after the end of Rio’s swimming competition. At first, Lochte said he and three swimming teammates were robbed after their taxi was pulled over by armed men posing as police. He has since apologized
Ryan Lochte’s Supposed Apology Falls Flat, But What Else Did You Expect?
Ryan Lochte issued an “apology” Friday, but if his statement left you wanting a little more, you’re not alone. The highly decorated United States swimmer forced his way onto the world’s biggest stage during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro but for all the wrong reasons. We still don’t know the entire story, but here’s one side of the story: Lochte and some teammates (probably) got stupid drunk, got into some trouble at a gas station and got involved in a scary situation. As anyone who’s had one too many drinks can attest, things can get away from you in a situation like that. Sometimes you make bad decisions under t... NESN.com
