If LeGarrette Blount keeps up his current pace, that record won’t stand for long. Blount bulldozed his way across the goal line three more times in Sunday night’s 31-24 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, bringing his season touchdown total to 12 with seven games left to play. Barring injury or a precipitous drop-off in production, he easily should surpass Martin’s mark, perhaps as early as next Sunday in San Francisco. How did a running back who’d never scored more than seven touchdowns

Patriots Notes: Martellus Bennett Has Unique Relationship With Seahawks’ Defense
by Zack Cox on Thu, Nov 10, 2016 at 6:51PM 1,344 Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — An assortment of notes from a tight end-heavy Thursday at the New England Patriots’ facility: — Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski offered high praise for his Seattle Seahawks’ counterpart, Jimmy Graham. Graham is enjoying a resurgence this season after recovering from the torn patellar tendon that ended his lackluster 2015 campaign. He has 38 catches for 545 yards and three touchdowns in eight games after catching just two touchdown passes all of last season. “I have a super-high level of respect for Jimmy Graham, especially with what happened to him last year and the way he came back and bounced back,” said Gronkowski, who’s dealt with several serious injuries since
Can Patriots Exploit Seahawks’ Running Game In Big Sunday Night Game?
Share this: If you want to know why the Seattle Seahawks have had so many ups and downs on offense this season, look no further than their rushing attack. Marshawn Lynch ain’t walking through that door, and the team has averaged 75.4 rushing yards per game so far this season, which is 30th in the NFL. So that’s certainly something to keep an eye on when the Seahawks head to Gillette Stadium for a “Sunday Night Football” matchup with the New England Patriots. NBA Rumors: ’50-50′ Kings Trade DeMarcus Cousins This Season, Says West Executiv…
Share this: DeMarcus Cousins’ name has been a focal point of the NBA rumor mill for more than a year, and that doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon. The Sacramento Kings center is averaging 26 points and 8.4 rebounds per game this season, but the Kings are predictably struggling as a team and seem destined for another draft lottery finish. “I’d say it’s 50-50,” a Western Conference executive told Sam Amico of Amico Hoops when asked if Cousins will be traded this season. “If not, it’s not necessarily because they want to keep him.” Another executive provided an interesting view on Cousins’ situation, including a food comparison. “They’ll never get what they want in return,” an Eastern conference general manager said. “They think Cousins is worth more

Reggie Wayne Fires Back At Angry Patriots Fans After Tom Brady Opinion
Share this: Former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne ticked off a lot of Patriots fans this week when he said on “NFL Total Access” that New England quarterback Tom Brady shouldn’t win the MVP award this season because “he was caught cheating this year.” The anti-Brady-for-MVP argument can be rationalized, even if one doesn’t necessarily agree with the overall sentiment. Brady missed the first four games of the season because of his Deflategate suspension, so his cumulative statistics aren’t there just yet, though other metrics prove beyond a doubt he’s been the best quarterback — maybe the best player — in the league since returning in Week 5. What can’t be rationalized is Wayne’s total disregard for the facts. The whole Deflategate
Jamaal Charles Reportedly Placed On Injured Reserve By Chiefs After Setback
Share this: Jamaal Charles’ injury setbacks reportedly just got even worse. The Kansas City Chiefs placed the running back on injured reserve Tuesday, a league source told ESPN’s Field Yates. Charles suffered a torn ACL last season, and the move Tuesday came after he felt soreness in his right knee, according to ESPN. Chiefs coach Andy Reid also said Charles saw surgeon Dr. James Andrews on Monday after missing Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Charles will have to remain on injured reserve for eight weeks, which means he still could play again this regular season and in the playoffs, if the Chiefs make it. It’s still unclear whether that would happen, though. Charles only has played in parts of three games this season. He’s rushed for 40
