Playing a recreation with Mitch Trubisky in your shoulder

It’s the No. 1 recreation in Chicago. You can play it wherever and any time. No gear is critical. It’s referred to as Ditch Mitch, and it goes like this: You’re given two quarterbacks, and it's important to select one to switch the Bears’ Mitch Trubisky. To reiterate, you choose just one, regardless of how tempting it's to reply “each’’ -- even when each fiber of your being screams to go for 2. Lately, the alternatives have been laid out for us like an incredible, massive soccer buffet. Saturday, it was Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson or Tennessee’s Ryan Tannehill as they battled in an AFC playoff recreation. Sunday, it was Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes or Houston’s Deshaun

Chris Sale ‘Not Too Worried’ About Upcoming Red Sox Season Following Shoulder Ailment

Chris Sale ‘Not Too Worried’ About Upcoming Red Sox Season Following Shoulder Ailment

Chris Sale isn’t thinking about last year’s shoulder ailment that caused his regular season to get cut short. The Boston Red Sox pitcher had two separate disabled list stints in 2018 that likely took him out of the Cy Young conversation. His velocity was noticeably lower, but nothing seemed to bother the lefty during Game 5 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers when he struck out Manny Machado swinging to clinch Major League Baseball’s title. Now after some much-needed rest and keeping up with a throwing program, Sale is ready for 2019 after making some adjustments. “I think that was more addressed in the offseason just with... NESN.com

Celtics Notes: Kyrie Irving Sorely Missed; Joel Embiid Dominates Boston Big Men

Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving’s candidacy for NBA MVP was bolstered during Thursday night’s ugly offensive performance by the C’s in an 89-80 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden. Without Irving, who sat out because of a shoulder injury, the C’s shot just 41.1 percent from the floor, hit only seven of 29 3-point shots, generated 13 points in the second quarter and scored a season-low 53 points through three quarters. In addition to poor shooting, the C’s also were sloppy with the basketball. They committed 19 turnovers and had just 13 assists on 30 made shots. Irving is the team’s leading scorer with 23.6 points per game,... NESN.com

Cavs’ Isaiah Thomas Opens Up About Injury, Trade From Celtics In ESPN Interview

Thomas also revealed the extent of the grudge he still bears against the Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge for sending him to the Cavs last summer in a blockbuster trade for Kyrie Irving. Stephen Curry Takes Jab At Madison Bumgarner’s Dirt Bike Accident

Share this: The Golden State Warriors aren’t thrilled about playing the Utah Jazz in their second-round NBA playoff series. Matt Barnes and Andre Iguodala were vocal about their distaste for Utah, as they are under the impression that the Beehive State lacks exciting nightlife. At Warriors practice Monday, Stephen Curry was asked how he’d spend his days off in Salt Lake City and the two-time MVP responded with a jab at a fellow Bay Area athlete. While Curry’s comment comes as a friendly joke, it probably wasn’t well received by San Francisco Giants fans. On April 21, Giants ace Madison Bumgarner was involved in a dirt bike accident in which he sustained bruised ribs and an AC sprain in his left shoulder. The right-hander

Patriots Reportedly OK’d Rob Gronkowski’s WrestleMania Participation

Share this: Fans of the New England Patriots who also tuned in to the WrestleMania preshow collectively held their breath when they saw Rob Gronkowski hop into the ring Sunday. Gronkowski took a three-point stance and shoulder blocked WWE superstar Jinder Mahal to help his buddy, Mojo Rawley, win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando. Gronkowski received permission from the Patriots, who were “not opposed” to his participation, a source with knowledge of the situation told ProFootballTalk. The Patriots could have taken Gronkowski to court to prevent him from engaging in physical activity outside of football had it not previously been approved, PFT noted in their report. It was surprising to see Gronkowski enter the squared circle since his
