Third-Period Struggles Plague Bruins In 3-2 Loss To Lightning

It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Bruins Notes: Tuukka Rask’s Struggles Prompt Praise For Jaroslov Halak

Not much went right for the Bruins on Wednesday night. The Capitals hoisted their Stanley Cup championship banner and went on to beat Boston 7-0 in the season opener for both teams. The beatdown began just 24 seconds after the puck dropped as Washington had complete control of the game from start to finish. B’s goalie Tuukka Rask was pulled midway through the second period after he allowed five goals on 19 shots, including three goals on three shots in 3:11. Head coach Bruce Cassidy mentioned he thought about pulling the goalie when the team went down 4-0, but wanted to give a chance to bounce back. “Yeah, I thought we’d respond at

Red Sox Notes: David Price’s Struggles Continue Against Yankees In Sunday’s Loss

The New York Yankees never have been kind to David Price. Going into Sunday night’s matchup, the Boston Red Sox starter made four career appearances against the American League East rival, posting an 0-4 record while giving up five home runs. His luck certainly didn’t change as the lefty was tagged for eight runs (all earned) while giving up a career-high five home runs in the Red Sox’s 11-1 loss to the Yankees. His ERA against New York spiked to 10.44 and he has given up a whopping 10 home runs over 25 innings pitched since he’s been with Boston. What To Make Of Dwayne Allen After Patriots Tight End’s Spring Struggles

Share this: [embedded content] Organized team activities and minicamp mostly went swimmingly for the New England Patriots this spring. Most of the Patriots’ high-profile additions shined in the unpadded practices, and the defense and offense looked well-matched. Tight end Dwayne Allen, who was acquired in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts this offseason, had his struggles, however. Allen dropped passes and had some miscommunication with quarterback Tom Brady. So, are these common struggles associated with joining a new team, or is there reason to be concerned that Allen won’t be able to fill Martellus Bennett’s old role as the Patriots’ No. 2 tight end? NESN.com’s Doug Kyed, Zack Cox and Michaela Vernana discussed Allen on this week’s “Between The Tackles” podcast. Watch the clip above or

Red Sox Notes: Boston’s Struggles In Close Games A Cause For Concern

Share this: BOSTON — The mark of any good baseball team is its ability to win all different types of games, from close contests to blowouts. The Red Sox have done just fine this season in the latter category. The former? Not as much. Boston lost another close one to the Detroit Tigers at Fenway Park on Tuesday, rallying on two separate occasions before falling to a 9-8 loss. After this defeat and the team’s 4-2 loss to the Tigers on Monday, the Red Sox’s last five losses have been by two runs or fewer. “We play the game and the situation that’s in front of us,” manager John Farrell said after the game. “Sometimes it doesn’t work in our favor. Sometimes you find yourself in a

Russell Wilson’s Girlfriend, Ciara, Struggles To Not Have Sex With Him

The struggle is real for Ciara. The Grammy Award-winning singer and actress opened up about her relationship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson to Cosmopolitan recently, admitting the couple’s commitment to abstinence is pretty darn difficult. “It’s going pretty good. We’re hanging in there,” she began. “I’m not gonna lie. I’m human, so it is not easy, especially when I look at him and I think he is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen — that I’ve ever laid my eyes on, to be honest. I’m like, Look the other way! Look the other way! “But he’s such an awesome guy and the cool thing is that every...
