Alex Smith’s season is in danger of being over after he suffered an ugly injury Sunday afternoon. The Washington Redskins quarterback was carted off the field in the third quarter of their Week 11 matchup against the Houston Texans. J.J. Watt and Kareem Jackson sacked Smith, but he went down awkwardly on his ankle. Right after the game it was announced he broke both his tibia and fibula. Bills’ Tyrod Taylor Suffers Head Injury On Final Drive Of Loss To Jags
Through 58 minutes Sunday’s AFC Wild Card Round matchup between the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars was relatively uneventful. The final two minutes were a different story, however. Buffalo trailed 10-3 late in the fourth quarter of what was an old-fashioned, defense-heavy affair. Facing a 3rd-and-five from his own 42-yard line, Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor scrambled for two yards, but took a vicious hit from Jags defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. at the end of the play.
