Patriots Head To West Virginia For Joint Practices With Texans Before Preseason Game

The New England Patriots welcomed the Jacksonville Jaguars to Gillette Stadium for joint practices last week as the teams prepared for their NFL Week 1 preseason game last Thursday. Now, the Pats are headed on the road for joint practices. They will go down to West Virginia to practice with the Houston Texans. These teams met in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs last season, a game the Patriots won. They’ll play at NRG Stadium on Saturday night in Week 2 of the preseason. Patriots Could Go 19-0 In 2017, But Bill Belichick Won’t Address It

Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots are victims of both their unprecedented success and lack of recent controversy. Without scandals or suspensions to beat like a dead horse (or Colt, maybe?), the topic has turned to whether the Patriots will lose a game during the upcoming season. It’s actually not an absurd conversation to have, as most teams try to improve upon their last season. For Patriots rivals like the Denver Broncos or New York Jets, that means making the playoffs or winning more games than they lost. The Patriots went 14-2 and won Super Bowl LI a season ago, and there’s really not a whole ways up to go from there. In completely unsurprising news, head coach Bill Belichick wasn’t down

Draymond Green Laughs Off Damian Lillard’s Prediction For Next Season

Share this: The Portland Trail Blazers appear to be hot in their pursuit of Carmelo Anthony, as the team’s stars believe the forward can take the team to new heights. C.J. McCollum believes the addition of Anthony would make Portland one of the top three teams in the Western Conference, while backcourt mate Damian Lillard thinks the 10-time All-Star would make the Blazers a matchup nightmare for their opponents, even the vaunted Golden State Warriors. It’s safe to say Draymond Green doesn’t agree with Lillard’s take, which the Warriors forward made overtly obvious via his Instagram photo Thursday. Green and The Dubs certainly have bragging rights over the Blazers at present, as Golden State handily swept Portland in the teams’ first-round playoff series this

NBA Rumors: Carmelo Anthony Would Waive Trade Kicker To Join Rockets

Share this: Rumors of Carmelo Anthony wanting to join the Rockets have been running rampant, and it appears the star forward is willing to sacrifice to head to Houston. Anthony reportedly has made it clear to the New York Knicks that he wants to be traded to the Rockets, who are one of the few teams the 10-time All-Star allegedly would waive his no-trade clause for. And to make the transition even smoother, Anthony reportedly would turn away some cash to team up with James Harden and Chris Paul. “My sources tell me he’s (Anthony) willing to waive the trade kicker, which is worth around $8 million, so that makes a little easier for Houston to do a trade,” Adrian Wojnarowski said on

Lakers Fans Are Super Excited About Fake Rookies Too, Kings’ Video Reveals

Share this: Some Los Angeles Lakers fans don’t even know what excites them. The Sacramento Kings communications team exposed how little Lakers fans know about their roster Monday night in a social-media video. The Kings interviewed Lakers fans during the teams’ recent NBA Summer League game in Las Vegas, asking them what they’re expecting from rookies Sean Carter (Jay-Z) and Ned Stark (from “Game of Thrones). Obviously some Lakers fans just want to support their team, regardless of who is, or isn’t, wearing jerseys. But is learning the names of the real Summer League players too much work for those spending a couple of quarters in the stands? Nevertheless, Lakers fans should be more concerned about real rookies like Lonzo Ball, who won

Here’s How Expos Tried To Persuade Tom Brady To Give Up Football

Share this: Tom Brady was a very skilled catcher in high school, and probably could have taken his baseball career to the professional level. The only problem was inquiring MLB teams knew football was his priority. But one club tried to change his mind. The Montreal Expos were enthralled by Brady’s makeup, and believed he possessed everything it took to be a successful big leaguer. “(Brady) had a high ceiling,” Kevin Malone, the Expos’ general manager at the time, told the Monday Morning Quarterback. “He was a left-handed, power-hitting catcher who was cerebral. He had arm strength. He had everything that would warrant him being projected as a major league all-star. He had everything.” Although they knew it was a risk, Malone and the

Bruins Prospects Explain Lessons Learned At Team’s Development Camp

We’re still months away from the start of the NHL season, but hockey isn’t totally out of action. While Boston Bruins stars like Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand still are enjoying the offseason, future Bruins have been putting in work at the team’s development camp. The four-day camp, which wrapped up Sunday, took Boston prospects on a collision course of both on- and off-ice lessons. And it’s safe to say these youngsters learned a lot about what it takes to be a professional.
