Blue Jays Fan Throws Beer Can At Hyun-Soo Kim During AL Wild Card Game

Blue Jays Fan Throws Beer Can At Hyun-Soo Kim During AL Wild Card Game

You shouldn’t throw things at people. It’s just not very nice. But some fan in the outfield bleachers at Rogers Centre on Tuesday during the Toronto Blue Jays-Baltimore Orioles American League Wild Card Game apparently didn’t know that. As Orioles left fielder Hyun-Soo Kim went to catch a fly ball for the third out in the bottom of the seventh inning, someone threw a beer can onto the field, and it came dangerously close to hitting him. As Yahoo! Sports’ Jeff Passan pointed out, Blue Jays fans have a bit of history when it comes to throwing beer at Orioles players. Thumbnail photo via Nick Turchiaro/USA TODAY Sports Images< ... Ex-Patriots Exec: Jimmy Garoppolo Throws Vertical Better Than Tom Brady

Ex-Patriots Exec: Jimmy Garoppolo Throws Vertical Better Than Tom Brady

New England Patriots fans can be a sensitive bunch when it comes to Tom Brady. It’s certainly admirable to see New Englanders support their favorite quarterback, but in turn, every critique of Brady is blown out of proportion. It’s almost impossible to make a less-than complimentary observation about TB12. Former Patriots assistant to the coach staff — and Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns general manager — Michael Lombardi did just that while discussing Jimmy Garoppolo, New England’s starter until Brady returns from a four-game suspension, on the Ringer’s “Bill Simmons Podcast”. “I’ve been fortunate enough, I’ve watched pract... Red Sox Notes: Mookie Betts’ Power Throws Royals Pitcher For A Loop

The Boston Red Sox checked out at halftime. For 4 1/2 innings Saturday, the Red Sox looked like a legitimate threat capable of riding a strong series against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium toward bigger and better things. Then, reality struck in the form of a Rick Porcello collapse and a 7-4 loss to the defending American League champs. The Red Sox blew a 4-1 lead en route to their 40th defeat of the season. They also lost both third baseman Pablo Sandoval and catcher Blake Swihart to injuries amid their meltdown, which fittingly was capped by David Ortiz being ejected in the seventh inning after arguing balls and strikes with

Late free throws lift Kentucky by Notre Dame

CLEVELAND -- With everything at stake for Kentucky, the Wildcats stayed calm and made just enough plays to keep their unblemished season intact. The shot at history and another NCAA title are still in reach. Andrew Harrison made two free throws with six seconds remaining, and the unbeaten Wildcats made their last nine shots to survive their toughest test to date, coming back after trailing for much of the second half to defeat Notre Dame 68-66 on Saturday night in the Midwest Regional final. The Wildcats (38-0), seeking to become college basketball's first undefeated champion in 39 years, advanced to the Final Four in Indianapolis next week, where they will mee...

Peyton Manning Throws Pick Six To Seal Broncos’ Fate Vs. Bengals (GIF)

A quarterback threw a crucial interception in Monday night’s game, but it wasn’t Andy Dalton. With the Denver Broncos trailing by two points late in the fourth quarter, Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick intercepted Peyton Manning’s pass intended for Demaryius Thomas and scampered 30 yards into the end zone for a back-breaking touchdown. Manning’s interception — the third of four picks he threw in the game — couldn’t have come at a worse time for Denver, as it extended Cincinnati’s lead to nine points with less than three minutes remaining. Kirkpatrick intercepted Manning again with under two minutes to play, sealing the Bengals’ 37-28 win and guaranteeing them a playoff spot. The Broncos’ loss gave the

Drew Brees Spins Away From Two Defenders, Throws Touchdown Pass (Video)

Apparently Drew Brees is much more mobile than originally thought. The New Orleans Saints quarterback certainly looked like one of the more athletic signal-callers in the league during the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, as he pulled off some elusive moves en route to hooking up with tight end Jimmy Graham in the end zone. On 3rd-and-six from the 49ers’ 11-yard line, Brees looked like he was going down and going down in a hurry, but he managed to avoid a sack by spinning away from two defenders. The impressive play that looked like something out of a video game got even better when Brees threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Graham.
