Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie will square off in the first ever women’s featherweight title fight, marking the UFC’s first appearance in Brooklyn, New York. UFC announced the fight Tuesday night. The introduction of the women’s featherweight division, which will be fought at 145 pounds, is an exciting step for UFC. Holm became a well-known fighter in mixed-martial arts when she handed Ronda Rousey her first loss at UFC 193 in November of last year, and claiming the women’s bantamweight title in the process. The jam-packed card features three title bouts, highlighted by a champion-versus-champion battle between featherweight belt-holder Conor McGregor and lightweight king Eddie Alvarez in the lightweight championship match. Tyron Woodley will also try to defend his welterweight title belt against Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and Joanna Jedrzejczyk squares off against Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the women’s strawweight title fight. Although losing the title to Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo), both Navarro and Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing Moto3) were in the battle to the end - with the race and the championship coming down to the final corner.
