Ex-Patriots Exec: Jimmy Garoppolo Throws Vertical Better Than Tom Brady

Ex-Patriots Exec: Jimmy Garoppolo Throws Vertical Better Than Tom Brady

New England Patriots fans can be a sensitive bunch when it comes to Tom Brady. It’s certainly admirable to see New Englanders support their favorite quarterback, but in turn, every critique of Brady is blown out of proportion. It’s almost impossible to make a less-than complimentary observation about TB12. Former Patriots assistant to the coach staff — and Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns general manager — Michael Lombardi did just that while discussing Jimmy Garoppolo, New England’s starter until Brady returns from a four-game suspension, on the Ringer’s “Bill Simmons Podcast”. “I’ve been fortunate enough, I’ve watched pract... Kurt Warner Isn’t Buying Tom Brady-Jimmy Garoppolo Rift Rumors, And Here’s Why

Share this: Much has been made about the supposed rift between Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo. Brady, the pundits say, doesn’t want to help Garoppolo because the New England Patriots quarterback job will be the superstar’s again after he returns from his four-game Deflategate suspension. Kurt Warner, a Super Bowl-winning QB himself, doesn’t believe that. The NFL Network analyst told NESN.com’s Michaela Vernava on this week’s “Between the Tackles” podcast that while Brady is a competitor and wants every rep he can get, he ultimately would like Garoppolo to succeed and position the Patriots for a Super Bowl run. “I just believe, knowing Tom, that he’s going to do everything he can to help Jimmy,” Warner said. “Not necessarily being selfish, I think

Jimmy Garoppolo’s Strategy For Patriots’ Season Opener? Just Be Jimmy

Jimmy Garoppolo’s Strategy For Patriots’ Season Opener? Just Be Jimmy

by Zack Cox on Tue, Sep 6, 2016 at 11:40AM 1,071 New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said over the weekend he simply wants Jimmy Garoppolo to be himself as he prepares to fill Tom Brady’s sizable shoes. It sounds like that’s exactly what Garoppolo plans to do. “You can’t really overthink it,” the Patriots’ interim starting quarterback said Tuesday morning on WEEI’s “Kirk & Callahan.” “You can’t try to be fake about it, either. You have to ma... NESN.com

Did Tom Brady Stage Silent Protest Against NFL By Removing Helmet Decal?

Share this: Unless there was a sticker malfunction on Tom Brady’s helmet — maybe that’s what the scissors were for? — it appears TB12 staged a silent protest against the NFL prior to his four-game Deflategate suspension. As Twitter user @Pennzoil90 pointed out in a tweet at 98.5 The Sports Hub, it appears the NFL shield decal was missing from the Patriots quarterback’s helmet Thursday night during New England’s preseason game against the New York Giants. And this doesn’t appear to be a one time thing, either. If you look at this photo of Brady holding his helmet prior to New England’s third preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, the spot where the decal usually is was empty. Coincidence? Probably not. Thumbnail photo via Noah K. Murray/USA TODAY

Fourth quarter, 1:16, Giants 17-9:A Brissett pass to Aaron Dobson on fourth-and-1 falls incomplete. The Giants take over, and that’ll just about do it for this one. Fourth quarter, 2:00, Giants 17-9: We’ve reached the two-minute warning. The Patriots are driving, thanks to a steady dose of D.J. Foster. Red-zone fumble notwithstanding, the undrafted rookie is really showing up tonight. Fourth quarter, 3:49, Giants 17-9: A 17-yard strike from Logan Thomas to Roger Lewis extends New York’s lead. Brissett leads the Patriots’ offense back out. Fourth quarter, 11:53, Giants 10-9: The Patriots forced another three and out after a pass breakup by Jonathan Jones and

Twitter Had A Good Time Making Fun Of Tom Brady’s New Haircut

Share this: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady met the media Tuesday for perhaps the last time in a while because he’s soon going to begin serving a four-game suspension stemming from Deflategate. It wasn’t Brady’s supportive remarks about backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo that caught everyone’s attention, though, it was his new haircut. Twitter, as expected, was all over it. Here’s some of the best reaction to Brady’s latest look. Tom Brady’s Dime To Chris Hogan Highlights Patriots QB’s Preseason Debut

by Zack Cox on Fri, Aug 26, 2016 at 9:18PM 1,173 Share this: Tom Brady played full-speed football for the first time in 215 days Friday night, and he looked … well, he looked a lot like Tom Brady. After not suiting up for either of the New England Patriots’ first two preseason games, Brady entered early in the second quarter of New England’s exhibition matchup with the Carolina Panthers and immediately made his presence felt. Brady found Aaron Dobson for a 37-yard gain on his first throw of the night, and after consecutive drops forced the Patriots to settle for a field goal, he dropped his next pass into the outstretched arms of Patriots newcomer Chris Hogan for a 33-yard touchdown. Brady played four consecutive series before relinquishing the reins to Jimmy Garoppolo, who started
