ST. LOUIS — The Cubs have agreed to a commerce with Houston for left-handed-hitting second baseman Tony Kemp on Wednesday, a supply confirmed. Kemp, who was designated for project final week when the Astros activated Carlos Correa from the injured listing, is hitting simply .227 with a .725 OPS. In addition to second base, he has made seven begins in left subject and 9 in middle. The Cubs despatched lately acquired backup catcher Martin Maldonado to the Astros within the deal. The Dallas Cowboys confirmed their starting quarterback broke a bone in his back during Thursday’s preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, and multiple reports are citing Romo’s timetable as a minimum six to ten week recovery period. The Cowboys quarterback’s injury history needs its own encyclopedia, and he added another section to it Thursday night in Dallas’ preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. Just three plays in, Romo was flushed out of the pocket before landing awkwardly on his back after being tackled from behind by defensive end Cliff Avril. Luckily the injury doesn’t appear to be too serious. But considering the QB only played in four games in 2015, this is the last thing the Cowboys needed to see in a preseason game.
