Andrew Benintendi Sends Red Sox On Road Trip With Walk-Off Win Vs. Phillies

Share this: Andrew Benintendi gave the Boston Red Sox a sweet ending to a short homestand. The young left fielder tallied his first career walk-off hit during the Red Sox’s 4-3 win in 12 innings over the Philadelphia Phillies at Fenway Park on Tuesday night. Benintendi ripped a laser over the head of right fielder Aaron Altherr to score Xander Bogaerts and send the Fenway Faithful into a frenzy. The Red Sox will head to Philadelphia for two more against the Phillies before moving on to the Houston to face the Astros, and finishing the trip in Kansas City against the Royals. Yankees Troll Red Sox With Clever Tweet After Pair Of Convincing Wins

Share this: The New York Yankees took it to the Boston Red Sox in the final two games of their three-game series, and they decided to poke fun at their American League East rival afterward. After the Red Sox took the series opener 5-4 on Tuesday, the Yankees throttled Boston in the next two contests by a combined score of 17-1, including Thursday’s 9-1 rout. And following the series-clinching win, the Yankees fired off a pretty clever tweet in a well-executed troll effort. The tweet, of course, is a play on the Red Sox’s “Win, Dance, Repeat” slogan following Boston victories. Unfortunately for the Sox, they only got to show off their dance moves one time in their first trip to Yankee Stadium this season. Boston

Jim Harbaugh Races Go-Karts With Five-Star Prospect During Recruiting Visit

Share this: Recruitment trips are serious business for college football coaches, but that doesn’t mean they can’t also be fun. Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh made that apparent on Monday while visiting five-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon, as the two spent the day bowling and go-karting. According to The Michigan Insider’s Sam Webb, Harbaugh did not go on the trip alone. He was joined by defensive coordinator Don Brown and linebackers coach Chris Partridge, as well as another special guest. “Their visit to see Aubrey is something I have never seen on a recruiting trip,” Webb told The Detroit News. “He (Harbaugh) took his daughter with him, which is a two-fold thing. Aubrey has a little sister around the same age as Harbaugh’s daughter so

Barack Obama Shouts Out J.R. Smith For Wearing Shirt During Cavs’ White House Vi…

Share this: The Cleveland Cavaliers were honored at the White House on Thursday, and they all showed up in their best formal attire. Even J.R. Smith. The Cavs shooting guard went on quite a few shirtless escapades after Cleveland won its first NBA Championship in June, including partying in Las Vegas after Game 7 against the Golden State Warriors, riding through the Cavs’ victory parade and even playing a round of golf. But Smith kept his shirt on for his trip to Washington, D.C., and President Barack Obama was thankful for the gesture. You can’t really come back from getting roasted by the leader of the free world, but, hey, at least Smith’s an NBA champ. Thumbnail photo via Geoff Burke/USA TODAY Network  More Stories Source link
