Share this: Dan Henderson gave it all he had, but his chances of ever winning a UFC belt likely ran out Saturday in Manchester, England. Henderson, 46, was set to retire after his last fight, but when the opportunity to face Michael Bisping for the middleweight title at UFC 204 arose, he committed to putting on the gloves and entering the octagon one more time. But the champ proved to be too much in front of his hometown fans, as he became the all-time leader in UFC wins with a unanimous-decision victory, 48-47, 48-47, 49-46. Also, congrats to @bisping on now holding the record for most wins in UFC history. He's one up on GSP now. — Ariel Helwani (@arielhelwani) October 9, 2016 Bisping certainly had to

Tom Brady, Robert Kraft Among Star-Studded Group Of New UFC Investors
The new list of UFC owners is star-studded to say the least. Late-night TV host Conan O’Brien revealed Thursday night that he’s part of a celebrity-laden group that bought a small ownership stake in UFC. Included in that group is New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. WME-IMG recently purchased the UFC for the whopping price of $ 4 billion in July. The talent agency allowed some of its clients to buy a small stake in the mixed martial arts company, and there apparently was no shortage of interest. “I said yes and so now I technically own a piece of the UFC,” O’Brien said Thursday, according to FOXSports.com. “I am now part

Relive Joe Lauzon Vs. Jim Miller UFC 155 Classic Before Fight Night Rematch
Share this: Four years ago, Joe Lauzon showed the UFC how tough they raise ’em on the South Shore. Lauzon, a lightweight fighter from East Bridgewater, Mass., showed unbelievable toughness against Jim Miller at UFC 155 by … well, we’ll just let our friends at UFC.com describe the legendary bout. By the end of the first round on December 29th, it looked like Jim Miller was going to possibly wrap up a Knockout of the Night award against Joe Lauzon. Showing off some of the best standup of his career, Miller opened up Lauzon’s face, and as crimson stained the canvas, most believed there was no way the bonus king from Massachusetts could possibly continue. But continue he did, and over the next
Conor McGregor Learns From Mistakes, Exacts Revenge Vs. Nate Diaz At UFC 202
Share this: Through the first three rounds, it appeared as though Saturday’s UFC 202 fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz was destined for the same result as their first meeting. But this time, McGregor was able to turn the tide. McGregor was the aggressor to start, and he had a very smart strategy. He knew he had to take away Diaz’s right leg so Diaz couldn’t plant it and deliver big strikes as the bout wore on, so that’s exactly what he did. You could tell as the first and second rounds went on that Diaz was starting to lose his plant leg. But Diaz started to regain momentum, and he was the one who started connecting on successful combinations, which started to knock McGregor
Conor McGregor-Nate Diaz Rivalry Features These Insane Trash-Talking Moments
Share this: Conor McGregor and trash talk go hand in hand, but losses usually don’t. However, that all changed back in March when McGregor suffered a stunning loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196. But if you thought that might change McGregor’s approach with a microphone before his rematch at UFC 202 on Saturday, think again. McGregor had plenty of insults for Diaz at the pre-fight press conference Wednesday, and even water bottles weren’t safe from an intense showdown just a few days before the big bout. But that was far from the only entertaining moment of this rivalry. Not by a long shot. Click to see the rivalry’s top trash-talking moments >> Photos via Mark J.
