A twister touched down at the North Side of the town all over Monday afternoon’s hurricane, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service stated Tuesday.
“We had indications from the radar, but there were a couple of videos that popped up. We saw one that showed debris being elevated through rotation and another one that was near the lake; it also indicated rotation. You can clearly see that one,” stated Brian Leatherwood, with the NWS administrative center in Romeoville.
The twister hit within the Rogers Park group between 4:02 and four:07 p.m, Leatherwood stated. It may just take a number of days to decide the energy of the tornado, how lengthy it remained at the floor and the course it traveled, Leatherwood stated.
