P4 on the timesheets was Bradley Smith (One Energy Racing), the British rider 0.618 off the top, with Alex De Angelis (Alma Pramac Racing) just 0.064 behind Smith in P5. Sete Gibernau’s (Pons Racing) highly anticipated return to racing ended with the Spaniard setting the ninth fastest time of the day – a 1:52.817 his best lap.
