Why Tom Brady’s Mobility Has Been Essential To Patriots QB’s Success

Despite what his mom believes, Tom Brady isn’t exactly the fastest guy on the football field.

In fact, the New England Patriots quarterback is pretty slow. But don’t be fooled by Brady’s poor straightaway speed — his feet still play a big role in his success.

The 39-year-old QB had another monster day Sunday, throwing for 315 yards and four touchdown passes in a 41-25 demolition of the Buffalo Bills at New Era Field. Brady did all that while facing a strong Bills pass rush, and on several occasions, he showed impressive mobility to elude defenders and keep the play alive before finding his open receiver.

Former Patriots tight end Jermaine Wiggins believes Brady’s elusiveness is a big reason why he’s putting up such huge numbers. Check out what he and ex-Patriots linebacker Matt Chatham had to say about TB12 in the above video on “NESN Sports Today,” presented by People’s United Bank.
