Good Discount Ball,
I play recreationally and have been playing for 10 years or so. I’m not a spectacular player, but I’ve been around long enough to understand the difference between a cheap ball and a better quality ball. I got this as a cheap outdoor practice ball and it seems very good for that purpose. It has a good feel for softness/give and overall cover material feel. It has a slightly ridged feel, like an old-school style outdoor ball. The real wilson AVP ball seems to be a much more smooth ball (no ridges).
You do get what you pay for in a volleyball. There is a definite, noticeable difference between this ball and a good $30-$40 ball. That said, if your price range is under $30, I’d say this ball is a good choice.
