WWE Championship Match Ends In Controversy Ahead Of SmackDown-Raw Draft

Dean Ambrose technically still is the WWE champion, but only after a controversial ending to his title match with former Shield partner Seth Rollins on “Monday Night Raw.”

The match finished after a “Superplex,” but both men had their shoulders on the ground, resulting in a draw. That meant Ambrose, who entered the night as the champion, walked out of Providence’s Dunkin’ Donuts Center with the belt around his waist.
