A 22-year-old man was shot Friday throughout an tried theft on the Near West Side.
He was driving his automobile “slowly” about 5:25 a.m. close to the 1500 block of West Monroe Street when somebody on foot tried robbing him, Chicago police stated. Shots had been fired into the person’s automobile, and he was struck within the again.
The man drove to Adams Street and Leamington Avenue the place he stopped, police stated. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital the place his situation was stabilized.
No arrests have been made. Area North detectives are investigating.
