A person was sentenced to 20 years in jail Thursday for breaking into an Elgin residence and sexually assaulting a girl in 2018.
Anthony G. Onofre pleaded responsible to felony counts of residence invasion and legal sexual assault, in accordance with an announcement from the Kane County state’s lawyer’s workplace.
Prosecutors stated Onofore entered the condominium of a girl he didn’t know on Nov. 20, 2018, and sexually assaulted her earlier than working off.

She referred to as authorities with a “detailed” description of Onofre after the assault, and he was taken into custody a couple of hours later, prosecutors stated. He was registered as a intercourse offender on the time.
