Anthony Onofre sentenced to 20 years for Elgin residence


A person was sentenced to 20 years in jail Thursday for breaking into an Elgin residence and sexually assaulting a girl in 2018.

Anthony G. Onofre pleaded responsible to felony counts of residence invasion and legal sexual assault, in accordance with an announcement from the Kane County state’s lawyer’s workplace.

Prosecutors stated Onofore entered the condominium of a girl he didn’t know on Nov. 20, 2018, and sexually assaulted her earlier than working off.
