Chicago Tribune Trolls Aaron Rodgers In Tweet About Breakup With Olivia Munn

Share this: NFL rivalries don’t take a break for the offseason. If you didn’t hear the news Friday, Aaron Rodgers and Olivia Munn reportedly broke up after three years together. And the Chicago Tribune made sure it didn’t take long for Bears fans to revel in the Green Bay Packers quarterback’s misery. The newspaper snuck some pretty amazing shade into a tweet about the news, mentioning only Munn’s name and referring to Rodgers simply as the actress’ “boyfriend.” Ouch. We can’t say we blame Chicagoans for being salty toward Rodgers, as he owns a 14-4 record against the Bears in his career since 2008, and none of those losses came in the same season. Plus, the Bears will have Mike Glennon under center this coming season

Share this: The Boston Bruins could not gain any ground in the Atlantic Division standings on Thursday night as they lose 2-1 to the Ottawa Senators in a shootout. The Bruins are now one point behind the Senators but still own the tie-breaker on Ottawa and the Toronto Maple Leafs even though they are a combined 0-7-1 against both teams. Celtics Notes: No. 2 Seed No Longer A Given For Boston After Another Loss

Share this: Roughly 28 hours ago, the Boston Celtics were real contenders for the Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seed. Now? Not so much. And, if they aren’t careful over their final three games, the No. 1 spot might be the least of their worries. The C’s now are 50-29 after back-to-back devastating losses to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks. As a result, not only are they 1.5 games behind the Cavs for the top spot, but their lead over the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards is down to two games with three contests left to play. And, to make matters worse for Boston, it lost the season series to the Cavaliers and Raptors, so it’s virtually two games back of Cleveland

Hurling To Make Triumphant Return To Fenway Park With Doubleheader Nov. 19

Share this: The home of the Boston Red Sox will play host to a different kind of stick-and-ball sport this fall. Fenway Sports Management announced Thursday the Irish sport of hurling will make its return to Fenway Park at the AIG Fenway Hurling Classic and Irish Festival, which is scheduled for Sunday, November 19. The ballpark last hosted a hurling event in 2015. Galway defeated Dublin 50-47 in a match that featured a full-team brawl. [embedded content] “Nearly 28,000 fans packed Fenway Park when hurling returned to the ballpark for the first time in 61 years in 2015, and we’re thrilled to have the fastest game on grass back for two matches this November,” Mark Lev, managing director of Fenway Sports Management, said in a

Jazz Fans Launch Aggressive Campaign To Convince Gordon Hayward Not To Leave

Share this: Utah Jazz fans have heard all the Gordon Hayward chatter and see the writing on the wall. But they’re doing everything they can to change it. Hayward, Utah’s best player and lone All-Star, will become a free agent this summer, and the Boston Celtics are one of several teams not named the Jazz expected to pursue him. Hayward leaving Utah would be tough break for a Jazz team on the rise, so superfan Garrett Jones decided to take action. Jones launched a bold GoFundMe campaign Tuesday soliciting money to build a massive billboard in Salt Lake City with a plea for Hayward. The message would go up on a billboard between Utah’s practice facility and Vivint Smart Home Arena for the whole month

Why A Toaster Might Be Responsible For Warriors’ Impressive Win Streak

Share this: The Golden State Warriors are piping hot … perhaps thanks to a toaster? The Dubs defeated the Phoenix Suns 120-111 on Wednesday, running their win streak to 13 games. Golden State hasn’t lost since March 11, which (coincidentally?) coincides with just before Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson graciously signed a fan’s toaster. Here’s Thompson’s initial reaction to being asked to sign the toaster on March 13. .@KlayThompson sorry that picture turned into a meme. But thanks for signing my toaster. — Ronnie • GSWToaster (@R_Dollaz) March 14, 2017 Apparently, the fan’s odd request all was part of his quest to have several Golden State players sign the appliance. It’s a journey that began in May 2014, judging by this tweet from the toaster guy himself. The

Chris Sale Started, Sandy Leon Finished It For Red Sox In Walk-Off Win Over Pira…

Share this: The Boston Red Sox beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-0 on a walk-off 3-run home run by Sandy Leon in the bottom of the 12th inning at Fenway Park on Wednesday night. Chris Sale earned a no-decision in his Red Sox debut pitching seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, three hits, and one walk on 104 pitches. Joe Kelly earned the win pitching two innings of relief allowing just one hit. Leon was thrown out at the plate trying to score earlier in the game but had his redemption when he smashed the ball over the Green Monster for his first home run of the season to win the game.
