Alex Marquez: “The last lap was incredible!”

Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) has gained some serious traction in 2017, taking a home win in Jerez before fighting for the same in Mugello, completing the podium. Arriving into his home Catalan GP, the ‘Pistolas’ had form at the track and the form bore fruit: looking like the man to beat from the start of the weekend, Marquez put it on pole and then shot away into the distance in a near-perfect Moto2™ masterclass. Clear by four seconds, the 2014 Moto3™ World Champion also made a big gain in the Championship - now just 20 points behind teammate Franco Morbidelli at the top. Source link

Dovizioso: “In Argentina I don’t have any luck”

Andrea Dovizioso, DNF: “This was a strange race because, even though I actually had very little grip and I was not particularly competitive, I managed to recover well in the early stages and gain some positions. When I got involved in the fight with Danilo, who always brakes on the limit, I tried to find the right moment to pass him, but unfortunately at turn 5 I was hit by Aleix Espargarò’s bike and crashed out. Here in Argentina I don’t have any luck at all, seeing as today I was taken out yet again, and I’m bitterly disappointed because being able to bring home a probably fifth place, in such a difficult weekend, would have been very important.” Source link

Pat McAfee Channels Conor McGregor After Fake Punt Completion For Colts

Share this: Pat McAfee has one of the more colorful personalities in the NFL, and the Indianapolis Colts punter showed it off Thursday night during his team’s Thanksgiving game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. McAfee picked up a big first down for Indy by completing the ol’ fake punt pass for a big gain. McAfee channeled Conor McGregor (and Vince McMahon) with that swagger walk after the play, too. Unfortunately, that was the only bright side for the Colts, who turned the ball over on downs inside the opposing 5 yard line twice and only could muster seven points in a 28-7 loss. Twins Releasing David Ortiz ‘Boston’s Gain’: ‘It Was A Mistake,’ GM Says

It might have been the single greatest stroke of luck in Boston sports history. For Minnesota Twins general manager Terry Ryan, however, releasing David Ortiz 14 years ago is a nightmare he’s embracing. “There’s no hiding that one,” Ryan told Twins.com’s Rhett Bollinger recently. “You can put that one in there and lock it down. I’m not running from it. I’m proud of what he’s done. Obviously, it was a mistake. The guy has been a great representation of the Boston Red Sox and Major League Baseball for a long time. And it’s Boston’s gain and Minnesota’s loss. And I take full responsibility.” Though Ortiz’s struggles throu...
