Dion Lewis Impressing Bill Belichick In Pass Protection Despite Small Stature

by Zack Cox on Tue, Jan 3, 2017 at 2:46PM 1,223 Share this: When Dion Lewis is on the field, his job typically is either to carry the ball or catch passes. But New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick also has been impressed with the job the diminutive running back has done in pass protection. “It’s definitely been a catch-up area for him,” Belichick said Tuesday in a conference call with reporters. “But he’s worked hard to do that, and I think a lot of pass protection — I mean, those backs are almost always giving up some size unless it’s a secondary blitzer. They’re usually giving up some size to the linebackers and occasionally when they have to block a defensive end or

MIT Finds Carpooling With Uber, Lyft Could Reduce Number Of New York Taxis

Share this: Looks like sharing really is caring, as far as the everyday commuter and environment are concerned. But don’t tell that to traditional taxi drivers. According to a study done by researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, increased carpooling through ride-hailing services, like Uber and Lyft, could eliminate the need for the roughly 14,000 taxis roaming the streets of New York. The study was conducted by Professor Daniela Rus of MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, and uses computer models to show how carpooling, when in conjunction with ride-hailing apps, could drastically alter commuting conditions in urban environments. As few as 3,000 four-passenger cars could serve 94 percent of New York’s commuting demand, while 2,000 ten-person vehicles would increase that  figure to

I’ve been playing for a while. I love this game. One of the hardest pills to swallow is when you leave something you love. I still love the game. My body feels good, but do I

Watch Bruins D-Man Colin Miller Fight Miles Wood, Tackle Him To Ice

Share this: Colin Miller doesn’t fight much. In fact, the Boston Bruins defenseman had only one fight on his NHL card entering Monday night’s road game against the New Jersey Devils. But Miller isn’t afraid to drop his gloves if needed, and that’s exactly what he did Monday when his defense partner Kevan Miller got rocked by a huge hit from Devils forward Miles Wood. Miller and Wood squared off at center ice, with both players landing some punches before the B’s defenseman got the takedown.
