Share this: Julian Edelman is a proud new dad. Swedish model Ella Rose gave birth to her and the New England Patriots wide receiver’s daughter, Lily, on Nov. 30, and Edelman naturally is pretty darn happy. Edelman posted a photo on Instagram of himself holding Lily, who he declared his biggest “woman crush Wednesday.” There was a little controversy before Lily’s birth, as Rose, who Edelman had a casual relationship with for two years, filed a paternity suit against the wideout back in July. That (obviously) has been resolved, and Edelman was there for Lily’s birth. More Stories Source link

Bruins Wrap: Boston Fights Back To Take Point In Overtime Loss To Capitals
Share this: The Boston Bruins appeared to be headed for a blowout loss after going down 3-0 in the second period of Wednesday night’s road game against the Washington Capitals. But the B’s mounted an impressive comeback with two late second-period goals and another in the third to force overtime. That’s where the comeback stopped for Boston, as Washington scored in the 3-on-3 overtime to win its seventh straight game — and fourth straight at home — versus the B’s. Here’s a recap of Bruins-Capitals. FORMER PLAYOFF MVP STRIKES EARLY AND OFTENThe Caps needed just 23 seconds to open the scoring. Stephen Gostkowski Earns AFC Special Teams Player Of The Week Honors
by Zack Cox on Wed, Dec 7, 2016 at 11:08AM 2,603 Share this: The 2016 NFL season has been a rough one for Stephen Gostkowski, but the New England Patriots kicker might finally be rounding into form. Gostkowski drilled all four of his field-goal attempts and hit on both of his extra points in Sunday’s 26-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams, earning him AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for the second time this season. Gostkowski was the NFL’s most accurate kicker over the previous three seasons, but he’s struggled during the current campaign, missing seven kicks (four field goals, three extra points) through 12 games. Sunday marked just his fifth perfect effort this season. “It’s a start,” Gostkowski said after the game.
Chris Sale, Who Got David Price’s Blessing, Doesn’t Care About ‘Ace’ Label
Share this: Just two seasons ago, the Boston Red Sox’s lack of an ace was such a hot topic that Clay Buchholz made T-shirts about it. Now, the Red Sox have three of them. Dave Dombrowski and Co. landed the prize of the offseason Tuesday in Chris Sale, adding one of the best pitchers in baseball to a rotation that includes five-time All-Star David Price and reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello. In a conference call with the Red Sox on Wednesday morning, Sale gushed about pitching among such talent. It appears the feeling is mutual, too: Sale says Price was the first person to contact him after Tuesday’s blockbuster. “Yes, more so with Price, just seeing each other during the summer,” Sale
MLB Rumors: Yankees Interested In Aroldis Chapman, But Price Very High
Share this: The New York Yankees typically don’t lose out on top free agents because of money, but paying close to $100 million for a relief pitcher is far from normal. But ESPN’s Jayson Stark recently spoke to a general manager looking for bullpen help who believes the contracts of closers Aroldis Chapman and Kenley Jansen will end up in the five-year, $85 to $95 million range. MLB Network insider Jon Heyman reported Tuesday the Yankees have talked to both Chapman and Jansen about becoming their next closer. Will 2016 Red Sox Rotation Be Best In American League After Chris Sale Trade?
Share this: The Boston Red Sox were busy making moves Tuesday, and they might have built the best starting rotation in the American League in the process. The headliner Tuesday was Boston’s trade with the Chicago White Sox for left-handed ace Chris Sale, who will join a rotation that already has two former AL Cy Young Award winners in David Price (2012) and Rick Porcello (2016). Hear NESN’s Jerry Remy discuss if Boston now has the best rotation in the AL and more with Kacie McDonnell in the video from “NESN Sports Today,” presented by People’s United Bank, above.
