Share this: Mitch Moreland isn’t worried about fitting in with the Boston Red Sox. The former Texas Rangers first baseman agreed to a one-year contract with the Red Sox on Tuesday worth a reported $5.5 million. And Moreland said in a conference call on Thursday that he chose Boston for the players and the atmosphere. “I had a couple options, but really just the whole fact that it’s a place I really wanted to play,” Moreland said, via WEEI.com. “Getting the opportunity to come here and be a part of that winning environment, being a part of a winning environment and having a chance to go out and play for a championship is huge to me personally. This is a great option.” The Red

Did NBC’s Camera Wire Cost Raiders Potential Big Play Late In Game Vs. Chiefs?
Share this: Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders didn’t play a very good football game Thursday night, especially on the offensive side of the ball. But upon further review, it appears they may also had a little bit of tough luck. The Raiders lost a pivotal AFC West matchup to the Chiefs 21-13 in what was one of the worst games of Carr’s career. The Oakland QB somehow threw for just 117 passing yards on 41 passing attempts, which seems almost impossible. However, it could have been at least a few more yards and one more completion had it not been for a wire. Replays certainly seem to support a theory that a fourth-quarter pass intended for Amari Cooper actually hit the camera
Giants Fullback Has Home Vandalized With Swastika, Donald Trump’s Name
Share this: New York Giants fullback Nikita Whitlock has become the latest person to be victimized by a string of hate crimes sweeping through the tri-state area. When Whitlock returned home Tuesday night, he discovered that his Moonachie, N.J., apartment had been broken into and several items had been stolen. But the most disturbing part of the break-in is what the perpetrators left behind. Inside the apartment, Whitlock discovered a graffitied swastika along with letters “KKK” and the words “Go Back To Africa” scrawled across the walls, according to CBS New York. “It just re-establishes that no matter where you are, no matter who you are, this can happen to you,” Whitlock said, per CBS New York. Along with the images, the vandals also left the last
Sloppy First Period Was Costly For Bruins In Loss to Avalanche

Donald Trump Taps Linda McMahon To Lead Small Business Administration
Share this: While some prominent sports figures are choosing not to stay in president-elect Donald Trump’s hotels, others will help run his administration. The president-elect added a new member to his team Wednesday, and you might recognize her from her days of receiving Steve Austin’s “Stone Cold Stunner’ move in the WWE ring. That’s right, Linda McMahon, wife of World Wrestling Entertainment owner Vince McMahon and co-founder of the organization, has been chosen by Trump to head the Small Business Administration. McMahon backed Trump’s presidential campaign, donating $6.5 million to support his quest for the White House. The two have been business partners dating back to the 1980s when Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, N.J., hosted WrestleMania. “Linda has a tremendous background and is widely recognized as one
Michael Kopech, Reality TV Girlfriend Brielle Biermann Enjoy Bahamas Getaway
Share this: Michael Kopech has high expectations as he begins life with a new team, but he doesn’t seem too stressed about things. The Boston Red Sox dealt the 20-year-old pitching prospect to the Chicago White Sox in the trade that landed them Chris Sale. Amid the flurry of the offseason, though, Kopech has been taking it easy, most recently vacationing in the Bahamas with his girlfriend, Brielle Biermann. Biermann, the daughter of former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Kroy Biermann, is a reality TV star on the Bravo show, “Don’t Be Tardy.” After the couple’s tropical getaway, Kopech will continue working to live up to his lofty potential — which the White Sox hope happens sooner rather than later. In the meantime, though, take your own
