Patriots’ Handling Of Deflategate Reportedly Turned Entire NFL Against Them

Share this: To say the whole Deflategate situation hasn’t been kind to the New England Patriots would be a massive understatement. After the NFL shockingly handed Tom Brady a four-game suspension back in May 2015, the Patriots fought tooth and nail to try to get that ruling overturned and bring justice to their quarterback. That effort obviously failed, but in a recent article for SI.com, columnist Greg Bedard revealed that New England’s steadfast support of Brady did not go over well with the rest of the league. From Bedard’s column: “Even if Patriots owner Robert Kraft wanted to seek retribution and lead an ouster of (NFL commissioner Roger) Goodell… it’s not going to happen. NFL owners agreed to the rules and also that the

MLB Rumors: Jay Bruce Could Be Traded To Dodgers In Blockbuster Three-Team Deal

Share this: If it feels like Jay Bruce has been on the trade market forever, it’s because he has been. The never-ending “will the Reds trade Bruce?” chatter might finally be coming to a close, however. Cincinnati’s All-Star outfielder is drawing interest from several contenders as Monday’s non-waiver trade deadline approaches. Chief among those teams: The Los Angeles Dodgers. L.A. has been looking for a reason to move on from Yasiel Puig, and it seems adding Bruce — a left-handed power hitter — is as good a reason as any. Red Sox Vs. Angels Lineup: Ryan Hanigan, Aaron Hill Return Vs. Tim Lincecum

Share this: The Boston Red Sox haven’t been more desperate for a win this season than they are Friday night. Boston blew a lead in the bottom of the ninth inning early Friday morning east coast time, handing a 2-1 victory to the Los Angeles Angels to kick off their 11-game road trip and wasting a brilliant eight-inning shutout from David Price in the process. It was the team’s fourth loss in a row — marking the first time they’ve done that this season — and sixth loss in their last seven games. Rick Porcello looks to continue his winning ways when he hits the mound for Boston, and he’ll oppose former Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum, who has been nothing short

Jordan Spieth’s Impressive Shot Off Cart Path Leads To Potential Controversy

Share this: Jordan Spieth has had a rocky relationship with water this season. Spieth had his second straight Masters title within reach earlier this year before hitting back-to-back shots into the water on the 12th hole. Fast forward to Friday’s second round of the PGA Championship and Spieth once again hit a ball into the water, although this situation was a bit different. Spieth hit his drive on the par-4 seventh hole into a puddle on a cart path, which he received relief from after a lengthy discussion with rules officials. It was a complicated situation since the ball and Spieth couldn’t touch any part of the water after the relief, so finding the perfect drop spot wasn’t easy. But they ultimately figured out a solution, and

Share this: Baltusrol Golf Club flexed its muscles during the first round of the PGA Championship, and it likely won’t be any easier Friday. Jimmy Walker leads the 98th PGA Championship after 18 holes after shooting a 5-under-par 65, putting him one stroke clear of Emiliano Grillo, Ross Fisher and two-time major winner Martin Kaymer. Twenty golfers finished their rounds in red figures Thursday, including Rickie Fowler, Jason Day and Henrik Stenson.   But many of the other big names will have to battle simply to make the cut Friday during what is supposed to rainy conditions. David Price Pitched Like An Ace, But Red Sox Still Lose To Angels

Share this: Sometimes baseball, like life, isn’t fair. That was the case for David Price on Thursday night. The Boston Red Sox ace needed an ace-like performance after back-to-back rocky outings after the All-Star break, and that’s exactly what he got. Price faced the minimum batters through three innings thanks to a pair of double plays. He ran into a little bit of trouble in the fifth inning when the Angels loaded the bases, but Jefry Marte’s puzzling attempt to steal third base — which failed — was a big break for Price, who exited the inning unscathed. He then finished his outing just about as dominant as he started, allowing only one hit over the final three frames before being lifted for Brad Ziegler
