Spieth had his second straight Masters title within reach earlier this year before hitting back-to-back shots into the water on the 12th hole. Fast forward to Friday’s second round of the PGA Championship and Spieth once again hit a ball into the water, although this situation was a bit different. Spieth hit his drive on the par-4 seventh hole into a puddle on a cart path, which he received relief from after a lengthy discussion with rules officials. It was a complicated situation since the ball and Spieth couldn’t touch any part of the water after the relief, so finding the perfect drop spot wasn’t easy. Jimmy Walker leads the 98th PGA Championship after 18 holes after shooting a 5-under-par 65, putting him one stroke clear of Emiliano Grillo, Ross Fisher and two-time major winner Martin Kaymer. Twenty golfers finished their rounds in red figures Thursday, including Rickie Fowler, Jason Day and Henrik Stenson. David Price Pitched Like An Ace, But Red Sox Still Lose To Angels
Share this: Sometimes baseball, like life, isn’t fair. That was the case for David Price on Thursday night. The Boston Red Sox ace needed an ace-like performance after back-to-back rocky outings after the All-Star break, and that’s exactly what he got. Price faced the minimum batters through three innings thanks to a pair of double plays. He ran into a little bit of trouble in the fifth inning when the Angels loaded the bases, but Jefry Marte’s puzzling attempt to steal third base — which failed — was a big break for Price, who exited the inning unscathed.
