Pedro Martinez Gave Hilariously Poor Answer During ‘Family Feud’ Appearance

Share this: Pedro Martinez is one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history, which earned him a ticket to the Baseball Hall of Fame. If there was a “Family Feud” Hall of Fame, though, he’s probably not getting a call anytime soon. The Boston Red Sox legend made his “Family Feud” debut Sunday night alongside some other former big leaguers, and hilarity certainly ensued. At one point, Martinez was asked to name a word that rhymed with “yummy,” which is actually pretty hard to do. Martinez’s answer was … not great. [embedded content] In Pedro’s defense, English isn’t his first language, and the way he said Miami, it did kind of rhyme. And he wasn’t the only one who struggled with the whole “yummy” thing.

Rays Prospect Brent Honeywell Flashes Filthy Screwball At MLB Futures Game

Share this: As it does every year, Major League Baseball’s 2017 Futures Game featured a host of talented position players — No. 1 overall prospect Yoan Moncada, No. 3 prospect Amed Rosario and the much-hyped Vladimir Guerrero Jr., to name a few. And Brent Honeywell mowed them all down. Honeywell, the No. 2-ranked player in the Tampa Bay Rays’ system and the 22nd ranked prospect in baseball, started on the mound Sunday for Team USA against Team World and downright dazzled the Marlins Park crowd. The 22-year-old right-hander pitched two scoreless innings, striking out four of the seven batters he faced with the help of a nasty screwball. Yes, a screwball. Here’s a look at the pitch in action: If you look closely, Honeywell’s pitch

Watch Celtics Rookie Jayson Tatum Hit Incredible Shot, Get Fouled Vs. Blazers

Share this: Jayson Tatum continues to amaze. The Boston Celtics rookie has dominated NBA Summer League action in Utah and Las Vegas, and we saw more evidence of it Sunday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. The No. 3 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft hit a very tough shot from the baseline in the first quarter, while also getting fouled. This shot adds to the list of impressive summer league moments for Tatum, one that includes a game-winner against the Philadelphia 76ers and an incredible fadeaway versus the Utah Jazz. Expectations for Tatum, which already were extremely high, have grown even higher with his summer league performances. Dana White Bluntly Says Travis Browne Should Retire After Another UFC Loss

Share this: LAS VEGAS — Travis Browne suffered his fourth consecutive UFC defeat Saturday night, and Dana White didn’t pull any punches when asked about the 34-year-old heavyweight’s future in the promotion. “I think Travis Browne should retire,” said the UFC president, who added that he hadn’t told Browne that yet. The conversation surely will come, though, as White is close with Ronda Rousey, Browne’s fiancée. Rousey herself doesn’t appear interested in returning to the UFC after back-to-back crushing defeats, so she also might counsel Browne, who’s 18-7 as a pro (9-7 in the UFC), to hang up the gloves. Browne’s latest loss came at UFC 213, where Aleksei Oleinik submitted him with a rear naked choke in the second round at T-Mobile Arena. The

Valentina Shevchenko Seems To Hint Amanda Nunes Just Didn’t Want To Fight Her

Share this: LAS VEGAS — Was Amanda Nunes simply ducking Valentina Shevchenko when she pulled out of UFC 213 on the day of the fight? It appears Shevchenko believes that’s very possible. “When you receive this notice that you can fight but you already don’t want (the) fight,” Shevchenko told reporters Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena, hours after Nunes’ withdrawal from their women’s bantamweight championship bout. “… I don’t know, you have all this three months to prepare for this — I have to fight, I have to put all my power, I have to put everything on the fight. … It’s a big event, a huge event, and you cannot just say, I’m sorry, I don’t feel good today.” Nunes blamed her
