Luckily for him, he has one of the best in the business showing him the ropes. Miller, who’s entering his second NFL season, has been hounding new Texans offensive/special teams assistant Wes Welker for pointers during organized team activities. “I’m always in his ear, bugging him, as you can see after practice,” Miller told reporters Wednesday, via the Texans’ official website. “I was just asking him all types of questions. What did he see? What did I do wrong today? After every play, he’s always correcting what I did wrong. Then I just

American Tennis Player Sobs Following French Open Win Just Weeks After Father’s …

Share this: Steve Johnson won a tennis match Wednesday, a seemingly unspectacular event amid a sports scene flush with seemingly more interesting storylines at the moment. But the second-round French Open win meant the world to Johnson and not just for being a victory at a grand slam tournament. Johnson’s father, Steve Sr., passed away earlier this month. The two were close, and Steve Jr. credits his tennis career to his old man. “He taught me pretty much everything I know,” Johnson told The Orange County Register in 2011. “Since I can remember, it’s always been me and him out there hitting balls, having a blast. Share this: If you’ve ever been to a NASCAR race, you know how easy it is to accidentally leave something at the track. Like a cooler. Or a pair of sunglasses. Or a relative. That’s the fate that reportedly befell Jody Nash, a fan who attended Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 with family only to wake up Monday to discover they’d all left, according to WBTV. “When she woke up, her friends were gone,” WBTV reporter Steve Ohnesorge says in a voiceover. Nash seemed to take it all in stride, toting around a Bud Light and remaining optimistic that someone would come back for her. “Hey mom, I’m OK,” Nash told WBTV. “I’m still here in Turn 2. … Will y’all come get me?” Apparently, Nash was found while

Allegheny County, Pa., prosecutors announced Wednesday they’ll drop charges against Wadell, the Predators fan who threw a catfish on the ice at the Pittsburgh Penguins’ home, PPG Paints Arena, during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, according to The Associated Press. Wadell was ejected from the venue Monday and subsequently arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, possessing instruments of crime and disrupting meetings or processions. But Allegheny County district attorney Stephen Zappala said Wednesday on Facebook that Wadell’s act of Predators fandom “do not rise to the level of criminal charges,” and the charges “will be withdrawn in a timely manner.” Wadell, 36, went to great lengths to sneak a catfish
