Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell took that creativity to new heights Sunday night after scoring a second-quarter touchdown against the Detroit Lions. Bell, with the assistance of Steelers teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster, re-created a scene from a workout as he pretended to bench press the football in the end zone. Bell averaged 126 rushing yards with a total of three rushing touchdowns in his last four games entering Week 8. The Boston Bruins had one of the NHL’s hottest teams on the ropes Saturday night, but the Los Angeles Kings’ late-game magic pegged the B’s with a frustrating loss. After a back-and-forth, evenly matched contest, the Kings earned their ninth win of the season with a last-second goal that just narrowly beat the final buzzer of the overtime period. Patrice Bergeron tipped his cap to L.A. after the Bruins’ 2-1 loss, but he understandably was upset with the outcome considering how well his team played for the majority of the game. Drivers Couldn’t Stay On Track To Save Their Lives In F1 Mexico Practice
The first free practice session for the Formula One Mexican Grand Prix was something of a crapshoot. Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez always is a difficult track to get comfortable on, though it was made even more difficult Friday because the series has yet to race on the Mexico City track. Drivers therefore had to figure out how their 2017-spec F1 cars behave 7,500 feet above sea level, as was evident from the copious spins in FP1.
