The Boston Bruins squeaked by the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday when they beat the expansion team 2-1 at TD Garden. The B’s have suffered a glut of early-season injuries, and another notable name appeared as a non-participant in Friday’s practice — Brad Marchand. Head coach Bruce Cassidy, however, said it’s nothing serious, and that the Bruins just wanted to give Marchand the day off since he’s been logging so much ice time. Tony Romo doesn’t narrate only cat-streaking videos. The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS NFL analyst hilariously performed play-by-play duties Thursday night as referees discussed a potential penalty during the Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets Week 9 game. Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes appeared to bump one of the referees as he walked off the field, prompting this announcing gem from Romo. The play-by-play of the referees’ discussion is Romo’s latest addition to his personal reel of broadcasting hilarity. NFL Rumors: Sam Darnold Could Return To USC If Browns Get No. 1 Pick
The Cleveland Browns still are in search of a franchise quarterback. But Sam Darnold reportedly doesn’t want to be it. Mike Tomlin Has Cryptic Response About Martavis Bryant’s Future With Steelers
It doesn’t seem like Martavis Bryant and the Pittsburgh Steelers are anywhere close to mending fences. The fourth-year wide receiver has been frustrated with his role in the Steelers’ offense this season and reportedly requested a trade out of Pittsburgh. Bryant’s reported trade request apparently didn’t go over too well with the Steelers, as he was benched for the team’s “Sunday Night Football” game against the Detroit Lions. Following Pittsburgh’s 20-15 win, head coach Mike Tomlin wasn’t very interested in divulging into Bryant’s inactivity and also wasn’t willing to commit to the 25-year-old being in the Steelers’ plans mov...
