CTA Brown Line suspended from Kimball to Western over


A mechanical downside on a practice has disrupted service on a part of the CTA Brown Line on the Northwest Side.

Brown Line trains have been initially halted about 11:40 a.m. due to a mechanical downside on a practice close to Kedzie, in keeping with CTA service alerts. As of 12:19 p.m., service was suspended between Kimball and Western.

Trains are nonetheless working between Western and the Loop, in keeping with the CTA. Shuttle buses are offering connecting service between Kimball and Western.

The CTA can also be advising riders to contemplate alternate routes together with close by buses and different rail strains. Crews are working to revive service.
