Fire causes $10Okay in damages to St. Charles house; no accidents


No accidents have been reported after a hearth broke out Friday at a house in West Suburban St. Charles.

Firefighters responded about 10:14 p.m. to a house within the 200 block of Tower Hill Drive and located heavy smoke inside, based on the St. Charles Fire Department.

The hearth was positioned within the basement and crews had it below management in about 15 minutes, hearth stated.

Two individuals who have been asleep when the blaze erupted have been woken up by a hearth alarm and managed to flee with their two canines, hearth stated.

Fire departments from Geneva, Batavia, Elburn and South Elgin assisted within the effort to extinguish the flames.

The reason behind the hearth is below investigation, however it isn’t thought of suspicious, hearth stated. Damages have been estimated at $10,000.
