John Farrell: Red Sox Got ‘A Good Win’ In Close Decision Vs. Mariners

Now that’s how you win a close game.

David Price tossed eight strong innings of one-run ball, Mookie Betts hit a go-ahead home run in the seventh inning, and Craig Kimbrel shut the door in the ninth to earn Boston a 2-1 win, it’s 39th of the season.

Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell was asked how important it was to win a close game like that during his postgame news conference, as seen on NESN’s “Red Sox Final.”
