A Joliet man died after swallowing an unknown substance throughout a drug bust Tuesday.
Eric Lurry, 37, ingested “a large amount of an unknown substance” after he was taken into custody close to Briggs and Washington streets throughout a narcotics investigation, Joliet police mentioned.
Lurry turned unresponsive and was rushed to St. Joseph Hospital, police mentioned. He died early Wednesday.
Joliet police are persevering with to analyze.
