The Golden State Warriors won the Kevin Durant sweepstakes earlier this week, beating out a slew of other suitors — including the Boston Celtics and Durant’s former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder — all hoping to sign the former NBA MVP.
Durant’s contract with the Warriors reportedly is a two-year deal with a second-year player option, meaning we very well could see the 27-year-old superstar hit free agency again next summer.
