Little Village catalytic converter thief targets parked


Police are warning Little Village residents a few string of catalytic converter thefts this month.

In every case, somebody eliminated the converters from parked autos, Chicago police stated in a neighborhood alert.

The thefts occurred:

Between 11 p.m. Feb. 18 and 9 a.m. Feb. 19 within the 3200 block of South Avers Avenue; About 5 a.m. Feb. 19 within the 2600 block of South Hamlin Avenue; About 6 a.m. Feb. 19 within the 3000 block of South Harding Avenue; and About three a.m. Feb. 20 within the 2200 block of South Hamlin Avenue.

No suspect description was accessible.
