Man crashes into police car in Homan Square


A person was cited Tuesday for crashing right into a police car because it crossed an intersection in Homan Square on the West Side.

The man was westbound about 10:20 p.m. within the 3200 block of West Lexington Street when he crashed his Lexus right into a marked squad automobile touring south on Kedzie Avenue, Chicago police stated.

The officer within the squad automobile was hospitalized with accidents that weren’t life threatening, whereas the motive force of the Lexus refused medical consideration, police stated.

Alcohol might have been an element within the crash and the person was cited, police stated.
