Metal ending manufacturing facility collapses in Logan Square hearth; no


No one was injured in a fireplace Monday night when the roof of a constructing collapsed in Logan Square on the Northwest Side.

Fire crews responded about 9:45 p.m. to the Bright Metals Finishing constructing at 3905 W. Armitage Ave., which was unoccupied, in accordance a Chicago Fire Dept. spokesman.

The roof of the constructing caved in and the constructing collapsed, the spokesman mentioned. The hearth was extinguished 30 minutes later. No accidents have been reported.

The metropolis’s division of buildings was responding, and the reason for the hearth was beneath investigation, the spokesman mentioned.
